QUOTE(hengguowei @ Jun 18 2011, 07:43 PM) I don't know why people love Blackberry. The keys are freaking hard to press. The keys on Nokia's similarly designed phones such as E71, E72 are even better to be used than the ones on Blackberry. The keypad are a matter of getting used to. Once you are used to blackberry, you will definitely condemn Nokia's keypad as well.Add BBM to Nokia, and Blackberry will have zero sales? Can you receive instant email via Nokia? I was planning to buy this device but my past experience where some emails will take 15-20 mins to receive has made me to temporarily stay away from Nokia. |

Actually they made a good job by removing the bronze colour for E6. At 1st when I saw that picture in the 1st post, I found it to be "yucks"

QUOTE(ander7724 @ Jun 29 2011, 12:49 AM) I don't believe it can standby for 1 month... I think max 3days on power saving mode maybe... Maybe can... For E Series, I realised that it can actually go up to 7 days (minimum up to 5 days) with just call, SMS, some photos etc.So I assume that the E6 can last about 10 days without internet connection. |

quite happy with Nokia E6. I have made the right decision by not choosing the X7 because E6 suits me well
Overall it is ok but email part is still behind BlackBerry. Well, 5 minutes wait shd be OK. The only problem I have now is the keyboard light is not turning on. It definitely works but somehow it doesnt light up when i am in a dark room. (via my Nokia E6) Added on July 16, 2011, 3:24 amthe keypad lighting problem was fixed with a restart. I guess it is the usual Symbian bug. This post has been edited by ViRaViRa: Jul 16 2011, 03:24 AM |

QUOTE(Darren @ Jul 16 2011, 08:44 AM) Dont keh keh... i think that the photo quality is quite good even at your desktop. But yes, the Nokia E6 screen makes the pic look extraordinary.Symbian phone feels more complete with physical keys Added on July 16, 2011, 8:55 amBTW, is the pixel density helping with the camera or what? The pics taken are quite crisp. Later transfer to PC and compare again. (via my Nokia E6) |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Jul 16 2011, 12:45 PM) I find it laughable to find fixed focus on any E series phone that is supposedly a business phone. How to take picture of document with fixed focus? That's the reason why I am thinking of ditching mine other E series. it depends. Not every business users will take a camera shot of documents.Same like video call. Many feel that a phone e.g. Blackberry or some Android phone at its disadvantage when there is no front camera but how many of them actually use that feature? Anyway, i personally feel that those who are seriously looking into a phone which is catered for business should not even look at this phone. The Nokia E6 is more like a all rounder phone. It covers everything in general but not specialized in anything. (via my Nokia E6) |

QUOTE(nicholasbeh @ Jul 16 2011, 07:20 PM) the nokia hero-BP4L 1500mah is the max battery capacity nokia offer...aiks...ppl offering 1650mah,1900mah bla bla. even with 1650mAh or 1900mAh, some of the phones can't even reach 2 days (moderate use) which is a shame. So for Nokia E6, i find the battery life to be decent unless it is caused by some apps which is not optimised for battery saving. QUOTE(andrekua @ Jul 16 2011, 10:49 PM) Nokia really never tried the pouch. Once being fit to the pouch, I can barely hear the ringtone and feel the vibration. I think that the ringtone volume is already not loud enough even when the speaker is facing you. Surprisingly, the music playback (when listening to songs) is very loud. |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Jul 17 2011, 01:38 AM) X7 screen also not bad. Big and vivid. I would have chosen it if only it has better keyboard. I turned off the prediction for E6 cos really annoying. There is one good thing about not having accelerometer is when you lie on the bed and the screen rotate. BB still is the best for the following :This E6 really wanna make me throw away the HTC but so disappointed with the problem for Whatsapp and Social feels so slow n hard to use. If you want to buy keypad/board phone, buy Symbian. Although I dont know how good is BB, but this time, E6 definitely get my thumbs up for readability. Now feel so lazy to open my iPad2 on my bed. 1) social networking - Facebook, twitter 2) instant messaging 3) email - but this is subjective. My company email is instant on Nokia E6 but for BB, i have to wait max 15 mins because it doesn't support Mail For Exchange. However, Gmail is other way round where BB is instant and Nokia is max 5 mins (which is still not bad). Other thing is the notification part where Nokia E6 only have light notification for sms and missed call. Nokia should have added email and chat etc as well. Overall Nokia E6 is a good phone. No regrets for sure. Happy that i have chosen this over Nokia X7. |

QUOTE(nicholasbeh @ Jul 17 2011, 07:19 AM) Noooooo.....haha by the way, my E6 battery took 8 hours to get from full bar to 1 bar. Tried twice and it is the same. That is driving me crazy. Even my old Nokia E71 can last for nearly 1 day with similar usage pattern. I suspect FSecure is the culprit. Turning it off now and monitoring the phone again. Haiz. |

owh, torch light doesn't work when power saving mode is activated.
Pls check if you are running on power saving mode if your torch light is not functioning. Added on July 17, 2011, 12:08 pmoops, doesnt work on normal mode too? Probably because of low battery? Need to install 3rd party torch like as a backup. This post has been edited by ViRaViRa: Jul 17 2011, 12:08 PM |

I have to admit that the battery life for Nokia E6 is quite poor if push email is activated.
This is the 3rd time I am charging my phone within 24 hours. Well it is still early to conclude because I am now trying again with power saving mode activated. Hopefully it will at least bring the phone alive for at least a day. Note: 1st charge - 3am 2nd charge - 1pm (at this point, I've deactivated FSecure because I suspected that it is depleting the battery faster than usual). 3rd charge - 12:45am (at this point, I've activated power saving mode. No background app is running but push email is still going on). |

QUOTE(zero_kbom @ Jul 18 2011, 01:29 AM) Yep, I do believe the pseudo-push email is depleting the battery quite fast. Its happened before on my N8, and I believe its the same for E6. Unfortunately, the email feature is very important to me and I need emails to be pushed without much delay. The next option I have is 15 minutes which is already too long.Have you tried changing the retrieval frequency in the setting? In my N8, that is helping with my battery life. A lot. That to be said, my E6 battery still going strong after a day worth of usage (Over Wifi). Only 1 tiny bar depleted for now. Maybe I didn't push it hard enough? I was happy that the email feature is more reliable than in Nokia E72 and N8 but if the battery is going down so fast, I can't use it as my primary corporate phone. Hopefully the power saving mode can do a miracle. Otherwise, I have to get back to my BlackBerry |
