I met a girl, then recently ask her out to meet other friends together. Although she own a car, but she still ask me to fetch from her house, instead of go by her own. Its just 2 of us go together.

Just wonder, girl always prefer guy to fetch them even just normal friend only? (working adult with car)

Guy fetches the girl when going out is OK. But I don't like girls who ask their bf or husband to fetch them to and fro from work. If they cannot drive, it is high time they get a driving license. If they're already working, please get a car lah.

Well, If you end up with the girl, you don't have to fetch anymore because you'll be staying in the same place.

She wants to see how much of a doormat you are before dumping you turn into a rag. Believe you me, it won't be long before she asks you to pay for her meals/movies/bills etc.


On the positive side, she asked you to fetch her from her house, meaning she might invite you into her bedroom sometime in the future. Might be worth the investment.

True, now going anywhere also not safe.. even in front of the house. Few of my friends and neighbour got robbed just right in front of their houses..

During old times when I walked to my office, I got robbed by snatch thief. Left scars on my face and shoulder. And now that I drive SLK(small lil kancil), it got break in pulak, also at housing area... SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

to me there is not a problem.. i felt what those guys thinking.. like a gal from my hometown always using me fetch her here & there.. but i still fetch her and even need treat her.. she always eat expensive food.. but who cares.. i dun mind if i manage to pay for her.. i treated her as friend so as she..

If a girl expect someone to fetch because of "equality" (if u get what i mean) or feeling of being much superior,

I couldnt get why some type of girls always think that guys have unlimited money to spend, always think that they can rely on guys to pay the movie/food/fun bill and even patrol fee but always got tons of reasons not to spend using their own money.

Actually women in the world are fighting for GENDER EQUALITY but honestly, was that even neccessary? What is so EQUAL for a guy to fetch a girl around? If it's a gf or a potential gf then it's a different story. Think again, most gentleman are Mr. Nice Guy, then the truth is Mr. Nice Guys rarely get girls. Girls just treat them as doormat, or being weak & emotional person. I always go out with monorail to meet my guy friends.
They wanted to fetch me but I refuse, I dont want to let them know where I live and I think it's dangerous
(Kena a guy say wanna fetch me back home but end up goin back to his home luckily his dad came back and his dad forced to send me back home )

But some of them want to fetch me home bcuz they are worry about my safety.

I like driving. But since the bf drives the hour up to campus to see me, when he's here, I drive.

this situation is hard to say..probably depends on the person u're going out with..this situation is similar to like..'why not the girl proposes to the guy'.. guys fetching girl from home seems to be a 'tradition' thing.. cause you're the MAN.. imagine other people looking at you in the car thinking..'why is the girl driving? have the guys lost their macho-ness?' usually guys who are very well-manered and manly,will always offer to fetch the girl..as for me,if me and the other guy are just friends..i would just offer to meet him in one place and i drive myself there...or if we stay nearby we can always take turn to drive each other to the place..

if i have a boyf..i would do it vice-versa way..*but would prefer if he could be the one who find me*..its more romantic i guess..

What happens is like this:

Most of the time the guy has to chase the girl. When doing so, the girl will ask the opinions of her friends, if the guy fetches her the friends will say "this is an okay guy'", but if he asks her to fetch her during that period, the friends will say "how can a guy act like this". So if he asks her to fetch, most likely no deal lo.

After he has got her, if he starts asking her to fetch, the girl will think "last time you were so nice to me but now once you have got me you are changing!" So once the bar of expectation is set, it is hard to shift.

Honestly I don't see any problem here. I'm not that kira about who drives/fetches who. As long as I get to the destination safely.

I can tell you, my dad doesn't drives on his own. He always gets me or my mum or my aunty to fetch him.
My bf like to drive so he will come and fetch me when we go out. But when we go on road trips, both of us takes turn to drive. And when I go to his house, I'll definitely drive on my own.

normally the girls come fetch me if the destination is along the way. But they would let me drive.

I agreed on some of you that girls shall drive too. It just like you have to give love instead of just receiving the love.
One of the forumer has mentioned that girl can drive during morning or afternoon while at night if going to dinner with bf, the bf can fetch her as night is usually more dangerous than afternoon.

Few things to consider...
Is she going to get a new car or 2nd hand car?
Recommended 2nd hand car so if so happen scratch or accident (touch wood), you guys won't be so heart pain over it.

Is she working? Is her work place far? Are you fetching her? Is it on your way?
Does she need you to fetch her when she wants to go out with friends? I think it depends on how much she needs to use the car. Whether she wants to be dependent on you for fetching her or not. Like in my case for example, I'm always on the go and busy doing my own stuff running here and there, I wouldn't want to burden my partner to send me here and there so it would be best if I can get a car of my own asap.

Put it this way, assuming you two live together now, do you think that if you have two cars at home, will both the cars always be used? Or only one (yours) always out while the other one put at your car porch become white elephant? Also remember, buying a car is easy, but can you both maintain the extra car?

But if she is getting around with her motorcycle on her own nowadays.. maybe it's a good idea to invest in a car because it would definitely be safer for her to be in a car then on a motorcycle.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for your comments , anyway FYI, she is working with low base salary and we not live together until married(soon). For now I always fetch her here and there and I'm happy by doing so.Only that, she travel by her motorcycle to her office since our home and office is quite far from each other, and honestly I'm worry about that since it's less safe, but as state in your comment I'm also concern if the second car will be white elephant after we get married because I will definitely glad to fetch her everyday. The main reason(i suspect) she need a car is just to replace that motorcycle(now) to go to work and to relief her jealousy towards her friend whom all pose their own car.

i just started coupled up with my bf. He used to pick me up at night but sometimes I will drive out to meet him Now, I prefer him to pick me up at night . If it is day time i will drive to his house and then he will take over the driver's seat ..haha..cus i don't trust my driving skills and i think he doesnt trust my driving skills too..lol
