well my two cents is, if its for dinner then the guy better fetch cuz its dangerous for girls to drive at night alone, alot of rempit-following cases..but if its in the morning, the girl should drive herself..

Er. How is she going to drive if she doesn't know how to drive?
I assume she would know how to drive if she already has a driving license.

I guess what you can do is teach her how to drive safely. Sometimes she just wanna don't wanna be so dependent on you.
I find it REALLY frustrating when I don't have a car to drive.

Few things to consider...
Is she going to get a new car or 2nd hand car?
Recommended 2nd hand car so if so happen scratch or accident (touch wood), you guys won't be so heart pain over it.

Is she working? Is her work place far? Are you fetching her? Is it on your way?
Does she need you to fetch her when she wants to go out with friends? I think it depends on how much she needs to use the car. Whether she wants to be dependent on you for fetching her or not. Like in my case for example, I'm always on the go and busy doing my own stuff running here and there, I wouldn't want to burden my partner to send me here and there so it would be best if I can get a car of my own asap.

Put it this way, assuming you two live together now, do you think that if you have two cars at home, will both the cars always be used? Or only one (yours) always out while the other one put at your car porch become white elephant? Also remember, buying a car is easy, but can you both maintain the extra car?

But if she is getting around with her motorcycle on her own nowadays.. maybe it's a good idea to invest in a car because it would definitely be safer for her to be in a car then on a motorcycle.
