QUOTE(maskedchan @ Feb 21 2011, 08:26 PM) According to www.blu-ray.com's database, there are 36 titles got Dolby TrueHD 7.1 http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/search.php?k...h&action=search 5 BDs released in 2008 23 BDs released in 2009 7 BDs released in last year 1 BD released in this year. Anyway, according to www.blu-ray.com database, 2151 BDs used DTS-HD Master Audio whereas only 806 BDs used Dolby TrueHD. Maybe DTS-HD Master Audio is backwards compatible with DTS whereas TrueHD is not backwards compatible with Dolby Digital Plus/Dolby Digital that cause studios prefer to use DTS-HD Master Audio instead of Dolby TrueHD. At least, if player don't have DTS-HD Master Audio decoder, you still can listen to DTS sound. Cabut... This post has been edited by low98944: Feb 21 2011, 08:54 PM |

Just finish watching Trainspotting
From review overall, this German limited edition new release shall be in new transfer as it look far better and in correct aspec ratio of 1:85. Beside this the audio track is lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 where not available in previous UK release. The disc is also BD50 rather than previous release which is BD25 and is region free where you can choose language for menu as well. Well done and love it. Full review tomorrow, lazy write via mobile phone. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Feb 22 2011, 01:02 AM |

Having waited till 5pm yesterday for my missing shipment, i decided to write to AMZ UK for any remedial actions. To my delight, i received a prompt reply within 15 minutes of my email. These were what they wrote :
QUOTE Thank you for contacting us at Amazon.co.uk with your concern. I'm sorry to learn that you have not received the order #202-7013252-7383568. Please accept my sincere apologies for any disappointment this experience has caused. I understand that you entrusted us to deliver this order on time and sorry to learn that in this case, we've not met your expectations. Please understand we try hard to deliver all the orders in time to the customers. However, as you already know we are online retailer and we totally depends on carriers to deliver the package and in spite of all of our efforts, there can sometimes be unforeseen delays which are beyond our control which result in packages being delivered much later than the estimated delivery date. To compensate for this delay, I have requested a refund to your payment card for this purchase in the amount of 8.04 GBP which are your postage charges. Refunds usually go through within 2 to 3 business days and you will see this amount credited on your next statement. On the date the refund is completed, we'll send you an e-mail message confirming the date, amount and payment details. Moreover, we request you to wait until February 27, 2011 for receiving your order. In case, if your order isn't delivered to you by February 27, 2011, please use the following link to let us know and we'll take appropriate actions. |

For those interested in this Ultimate Edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, this Ultimate Edition will release in 4 months time.
![]() QUOTE Warner Home Video has just officially announced the Blu-ray and DVD release of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Ultimate Edition box sets on 6/14, just in time for the 7/15 theatrical release of the last film. SRP is $49.99 for the Blu-ray version and $39.92 for DVD. Each will include all of the previous DVD and Blu-ray extras, along with 44-page books and new installments of the Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary (Order of the Phoenix will include Part 5: Evolution and Half-Blood Prince will include Part 6: Magical Effects). So that leaves only the Ultimate Editions of Deathly Hallows, Part I and II, which will probably be released sometime next year. Some more you need to count delay may due to custom issue and some transportation issue and etc. You will only get such standard respond if you report that earlier where didn't much help in overall. As promise, here the review in details.
![]() Trainspotting is by far one of the masterpieces of Danny Boyle direct film beside his award winning slumdog millionaire. Great directing and strong acting has bring out the beauty of drugs in this film. Some may find it over beauty the use of drugs, but for me this is the best part making such wonderful film. Packaging Thanks Universal Studio make this better packaging than any release at the moment worldwide. Love the Quersteelbook design and the use of one of the origin poster as cover. Beside the BD, they is another orange paper disc with main actor/actress face + some dialog from the film beginning. This part is kinda cool. Picture Quality From net review in overall, I find all the transfer quality is not good, but in this latest release it seems far better where I give 4 star for it picture quality transfer. The release is squeeze everything in BD50 rather than previous version only in single layer BD25. The transfer is clean, but they do some slightly jerking in certain scenes, not much just few which still in acceptable level as this is considere a budget film during filming on year 1996. Overall the whole film is free of grains, only a small grains appear in outdoor scenes. Slighly DNR issue is spot but not affecting your viewing experience of the film in overall. Color & tones is perfectly render, this is by far the best quality I ever seen in trainspotting. Audio Quality Agains thanks Universal Studio decide transfer the audio in lossless quality DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 which gains perfect audio experience for the entire film as audio is important in this film where it help pleasing the overall view. This is another great part for this release rather than UK release which only lossy audio track is included. I give full mark fot it audio transfer. Extra Features Some of the extra footage is the same as you seen in 1st release DVD edition, they do added some interviewing on year 2003 footage in this release. I check the contents it seems same as others release as well. All extra features in SD. Beside this, I like to point out the disc is region FREE which means play everywhere and the main menu is option for you to choose what languages to start of, means they is no worried on menu selection. Overall I give this a must have for fans that apprieciate this film. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Feb 22 2011, 12:29 PM |

QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Feb 22 2011, 04:50 PM) From what I gather from the info by the veterans here, if it arrives after you have been refunded, you have the duty to inform them and ask for instructions. They will then either:1) Request that you return it to them, and state the postage cost so that they can refund you; or 2) Ask you keep it as a gift. |
