I am wondering.....why is DTS prefered ove DD? Honestly speaking, I can't tell the difference.... What's important to me is the surround sound coming out from 5 or 7 channels.... Then again I'm just a mere mortal being... Not an audiophile! Hehehehehehehhe sweat.gif sweat.gif

What they were talking about in the previous page is DTS-HD MA which is HD audio compare to just a normal DD 5.1 audio. So there's a difference between those two

Yup! I'm aware of that......

I'm just saying.... Most of the people I talk to... And most salesman would put DTS as a benchmark... Not many people recommend DD

As i have said many times here, if you wanna buy from B&N, you need to be a member. Don't look at the selling prices. You'll get a heartache.
Once you complete purchase, they will send you some coupons to use over on your next purchase.
The max you may get is 15% - 35%. Before Red , i purchased many blu's and i received 35% & 50% discount coupons (50% still keeping it for boxset, expires 24/5/11)
So i've used for Red , the selling price before $26.24 was $20.99 after 35% $13.64. Not against Amazon but most of Amazon's deals are great. And yes, sometime B&N prices are ridiculously high but they give you privileges as members.

Benefited more from those. icon_rolleyes.gif

Exactly, but not all you could see at acceptable price. Per shipment is slightly costlier than Amazon but per item is definitely way cheaper compared to Amazon. In summary, they ship at reasonable rate and i normally receive in less than 10 days. Sometimes more than 12 days which is the max time it took.

Just read "Faster"review and few words to highlight from reviewer.

Video Quality
"This film holds an excellent amount of detail in its presentation visually, especially in close-ups and during the car chases. All and all, this really pulls off a pretty impressive Hi-Def presentation"

Audio Quality
DTS HD MA 5.1 "One of my favorite things in this film that translates to some awesome bass (LFE) and such is the sound of our main character’s Chevelle and its engine revving up. Sure, the Ferrari also sounds nice as well as the GTO in the flashback, but the real “oomph” belongs to that Chevelle. The second of my favorite things in this film is by far the gun that our main character uses and the sound it makes when he “blows someone away” with it, very loud, full of dynamic range and obviously LFE (bass). The other gunshots in the film also sound very good, very realistic and such as well as make great use of the 5.1 soundscape, with nice rear channel presence. The film’s music on the Soundtrack and original Score both sound great here and again, make great use of the 5.1 soundscape. All and all, this proves to be a very impressive 5.1 lossless mix worthy of a “5 Star Rating” for overall audio quality."

Bonus Material
"Overall, the bonus materials prove to be entertaining, all in Hi-Def video quality and total in a little over 50 minutes — close to an hour. The only things that seem to be missing here are an audio director’s commentary and a Digital Copy. Still, even without these, I think folks who enjoyed the film will be somewhat pleased with what they get in terms of supplemental material."

Bourne Trilogy BD Reviews

Movie:
The Bourne trilogy was always a trilogy that I wanted to watch as I missed it theatretically. The movies do not let down. I found Bourne Supremecy of the fastest pace moving from place to place and barely any let down in action. Identity starts a little slow then picks up very quickly. Storyline of all 3 were short of excellent. Ultimatum ends how u would expect it to, more or less gives the closure that people like to have instead of a hanging ending. Acting is stellar, MAtt Damon moves out of his Good Will Hunting days and shows that he can play action roles. I believe he went on to star in the Ocean's Trilogy after this and was equally good in them. The characters are used very well, without revealing anything, u never know when they r killed off. In all, I would rate the whole series as a solid 4.25/5.

PQ:
Identity had a little more grain than the rest. Ultimatum had the shaky camera used to the max which was the only annoying thing I could find. If u ever wanted to witness inky blacks, the trilogy has loads of them. Blacks are stable across the films and are inky almost all of the time, bordering on slight crush but I am sure that was intended. Finer details are abundant, did not detect any EE, DNR. Colours are slightly desaturated and skin tones are slightly tinted to golden or greenish at times, but its great to watch. I would rate Ultimatum and Supremacy at 4.5 and if needed to Identity at 4.4! Else all are close to 4.5/5

AQ:
Identity shows us what the DTSHDMA is capable of and Supremecy and Ultimatum do not let up. The surrounds are used for everything imaginable. Panning, ambiance and all. Dialogue is clear always, even in the choas. LFE is generous and used very effectively in the score and during action emphasis scenes. Some of the chase scenes have them all. If I were to chose I like Supremecy the best, followed by Ultimatum and Identity. I would rate Supremacy as a strong 4.75, Utlimatum at strong 4.5 and Identity at a weaker 4.5.

Overall, a fantastic way to spend ur time watching these 3 movies.

BTW : I own the UK transfer and there are no complains at all.
