how it compared to your ep630 ?

cz i used ep630 before , so roughly can judge .

ep630 got strong muddy bass, while 381F got right thump for bass section, perform well overall on vocal and trebles

basically, ep630 got nothing more to boast other than its muddy bass

Mind you, if you're getting 381F, it will be too flat. I played around with equalizer to bring out the sound the taste nice for me.

Basically bring up low and mids then bring down trebles. Pull here and there =P

not as flat and balance as HD381B, i need to play it with amp to make it warmer

Lol... I own EP630, Groove and 381F. 381F is really really lack of bass. EP630 is muddy, overwhelmed, Groove is moderate for me. But 381 really shines in hjghs, perhaps a bit too much.

I prefer my 381f over groove. The groove just feels like it lacks something..and the bass it a little more compared to the 381f, perhaps a little more than I liked..

Luckily you are not using using HD660 or HD330. If you are using them you have to fork out more money to buy the pad and headband which cost more to replace with beyerdynamic replacement products.

Yes it's actually very good for its price. I used my 381f for quite some time already

Soundmagic also not bad..I rate it like this E30 > HD381F > Groove

But of course E30 is more than double the price of HD381F (if I remember correctly). Either way, I don't think you will be disappointed with 381.

Might as well buy Beyer instead
