Yes e5 do make a little improvement to the headphone but what I mean is...instead of wasting your RM90 on e5, its better for you to save up some more and get a better amp like hippo box or linearossa line W1 or any amp sub RM300 in the market.

Any superlux headphones are really need proper amping to make it sing well.

my two cents.

don forget a dac if u are using a laptop/desktop for source unless u are using dedicated sound card.
By amping the onboard sound chip it's still will sound bad esp. if there's a lot of static.

That's it! E11 is the right choice if you are in mobile mode.

I'm looking for desktop amp.

Is uber muzik amp suitable for HD668B?

Anyone had tried them?

Hmm, I was like you before. But after a while I do notice the difference. And there is quite a huge difference between a 5mb mp3 vs 30mb flac. There are certain sounds that you can hear on the flac where cannot hear on the mp3. But a word of advice, unless you're in the music production industry, don't concentrate on analytical listening because it will make you enjoy music less.

me too... some of my music collection ripped in mp3 is make totally different compare to cd version. blink.gif
For example some detail like weak echo or noise went missing in mp3. rclxub.gif
that the reason which make me also store audio file as flac if possible. whistling.gif
ps: rip in 320k bitrate mp3 sometime cannot notice different when compare with cd.

you can get it for real good prices now , but for a boost, add-on an amp, elevates the sound

I think your iPhone is more than capable to drive the HD668B. My iPhone 4G does fine with a Beyer DT880 Pro (250), but of course it won't perform at it's best but you get relatively loud listening volume.

they say the mids are empty cause the models of superlux with a "b" at the ends are "rich bass" models, which means the EQ in the phones will be a bit like \___

I find the 668B to be lacking in the lower frequencies with the mids and highs to be decent. This effect gives you a wide soundstage. You can do the mods stated in the first page to improve on the sound a bit. Also, pairing it with an amp that boosts the lower frequencies will help if you find it lacking in bass.

Edit: Lacking might not be the right word, bass is present but I find it to come short in terms of body for my liking.
