Also, what's with the hate towards Newbieeeeee, guys? You know who you are.

I'd like to think the reason why people like it here, in the Sony Alpha Thread, is that we are nicer to n00bs - we don't force them to go into a separate thread! At the same time we can give and receive constructive criticism without getting butthurt.

I was about to reply the same too. What's with the emo replies? He was asking politely on what suitable gears to be used during a wedding and you guys go hoo haa as him got butthurt by him. Everyone has their very first chance to shoot wedding so nothing wrong with that. Only kiasu weddingraphers-wanna-be will keep telling newbies stuff like "if you don't know how to shoot, don't bother to shoot cause you might end up spoiling the bla bla moments and stuff". Well, it's pretty subjective. With proper guidance and sufficient homeworks done, a newbie would probably learn that wedding moments are important and he probably learn how not to interrupt as he shoot more rather than not shooting at all and forever stay as a newbie. Do ponder.

it's NOT about photography anymore, newbiee is one of the kind who is new to the line(so as myself) and the reason he prefer to quote something here mean he respect the members in the thread. He believe(I Believe) as "one big family" they can share their situation and question together for discussions and seniors were to guide him.

Therefore, he doesn't need comments and quotes which doesn't related to what he requested earlier...it just pure common sense.

Don't think you guys know the actual situation of a ly.net members on the internet over a single situation desctiptions...you never know who they are and what situation they are in...non-logical feedback are not necessary to anyone...

..and just be quiet if you can't provide useful feedbacks

*My Humble Feedback towards this Situation*

those are higher stops aperture lens...something like value from 2.8, 1.8 or 1.4 drool.gif ...kit lens i think is 3.5 something....you can do the trick too...try to separate your subject and the background even further...like 50meters...lol tongue.gif

to blur the background you need either large aperture lens or long telephoto lens then zoom to the max laugh.gif

Added on February 28, 2011, 9:12 amuse the 55-200 then zoom to 200mm and see the background blur brows.gif

that's why ppl hunting for wide aperture lenses..
ie: F2.8

kit lens start with F3.5 and zoom.. become F5.6 edy.. that's why bokeh not obvious..

either u come very close to the subject or use telephoto for portraits..
infact alot of photog use tele to create better bokeh.. icon_idea.gif
