I am having a problem with two widgets in my Tab. 'Post It Desk' and 'Smooth Calendar'. These two widgets keep disappearing after every Tab reset. I am using Zeam launcher. It is only these two apps that seems to be affected and nothing else. When i check 'manage applications' it is still there after reset but the widget disappear from the screen and also from the widget menu. Anybody faces the same problem?

ROOT it, install Titanium Backup and use this app to remove the apps you do not need
You can even replace the bootup splash image

Best is to install custom rom - clean without all the telco apps

If you send in , there will be a service charge at least RM 60

If you are in Spore - just sent in to any Samsung Service centre - they will reflash FREE for you a copy of standard without the telcos input

I'm using Overcome 1.2.3 + Kernel 2.0.1.
Does anyone here experience TAB hang while surf net using Dolphin HD or eScope browser?
Just curious is ROM, Kernel or apps problem?

i think they will charge u base on ur device..if the device is not warranty under them or ap set or oversea set, they will apply the charges.. nowadays samsung malaysia using ewarranty which mean everything inside their system to trace abt the warranty and where is the origin set come from..but its better for u call them and ask or direct to their service centre like benny said..

You just buy once - can use over several device. When you buy the app, you will get a txt file by email : TitaniumBackup_licence.txt . Just copy this txt file to the root of the SD card ( internal SD for TAB ). this is what I did - I carry the same app in 3 of my Androids. The txt file has your registration and licence details - looks something like this :

# This is your license file for Titanium Backup.
# (Do not modify this file)
#
# Instructions:
# - Copy this file (TitaniumBackup_license.txt) to your SD card (not in a folder)
# - Start Titanium Backup and verify that your registration info is displayed
# - If not, please uninstall and then reinstall Titanium Backup
# - Optional: delete this file from your SD card

Same rom and kernel as yours. No issues with default browser and Dolphin HD

I don't think it will exceed RM 100. Anyway why spend RM 100 on this - root it and change to those clean roms eg Roto JMI, Modaco R1 or Overcome 1.2 above. You will see a immediate improvement in system performance. You change to Msian rom, already void warranty

The browsers don't immediate hang when open but used after sometime, say more than 15 minutes.
Especially while you navigate using multi-touch (zoom in and zoom out using two fingers).
I also noticed most of the time this happen while i browse the web site which with Flash (animation) .
Just tried again with Dolphin Mini and TAB hang totally (turn to black screen) and need to force shut down by pressing power button. sad.gif

BTW, does anyone try FuguTweaks as discuss in xda forum?
Think need a try and observe whether will slove my current problem or not.

Fugutweaks kill my TAB. Spend an hour reflashing to JMI and then Overcome and reinstalling back apps. Try at your own risk. But some reported fine on Overcome rom

My browsing experience is very good , never has any issues even with heavy flash enabled sites. Are you using full version of Dolphin HD or free version. I am on the full version , now at v 4.5

Kill your TAB, really? shocking.gif
How did this happen and what ROM you used while tried Fugutweaks?
They mentioned also, do not use CWM but use root explorer to overwrite the exisiting files. Which method you used b4?

I thought Dolphin HD is free, doesn't it?
What are the differences between free and full version?

I installed the tweak by flashing thro recovery. I was than on Overcome kernel 2.01 and rom 1.2.1 Overcome. The TAB just hang on the Galaxy Tab logo

Dolphin paid version is just ads free.

I'm on Fugutweaks. Used root explorer. Browsing and keyboard inputs seem better.
@klwong99: tried dolphin.it's ok. I had your prblem on overcome's previous kernel(non oc). Now im on oc capped at 1.2ghz and everything's good.Maybe you need to clear the caches and reflash your kernel again with cwm(the oc version).

I decided to try Fugutweaks seem you successful install without problem also. Thx!

Update: Good news to hear that Overcome 1.3 will integrate Fututweaks as well. rclxms.gif
