You need a lucky shot to bring down the attack heli with those. It's not just you have to hit a rapidly moving target, but attack heli have armored cockpit, armored glass and a whole set of redundant systems. you have better chance with HMG.

In both cases, the helo was able to land safely even after such a severe damage. The one the farmer shot down, notice there's no superficial damage to it. i suspected that the bullet hit something that light up the warning light in a cockpit.

if russia provided the taliban with MANPADS then there would be 100++ downed apaches,black hawks,chinooks
