for me it sounded like the air cond fan is dying thus when the car is at halt, no cooling is allowed for the bee hive thingy(I don't know what is that but it's behind the radiator).

that is the vacuum advance distributor... it advances the ignition timing a little whenever u accelerate....

Previously this problem did not occur and the only problem that did occur was during a long drive, about 1hour the air con becomes hot and I have to off it for awhile for it to be cold again. Headache.

just check the fan and related thing especially wiring.. maybe loose somewhere.. old car normalla bro..

that time forget test the old unit
its the denso style with fan blade attached as 1 unit

i had a similier problem with u.
my is thermostat problem. when aircond run roughly 1 hour. den will not cold edi..need off it awhile den ok.
suspect thermostat cant detect aircond is cold.so conitnues blow only...

So do we need to change the filter or just let it be?

where got filter??... that thing u mention should be a 1-way valve...

so meaning its a straight through?cause i see ori proton one like got filter inside but mine has been change by previous owner to an aftermarket one...not sure wats inside

thanks a lot, i just change it with total Rm150(it's a lil bit higher than what you told me),My car can not run far since it's always overheating due to this problem, so just do it in puchong. By the way, can you all advise me how much does it cost to change the engine mounting ( front middle one). The shop told me around Rm 500+ ( i think it's over price). The engine mounting run make one of my drive shaft broken .

Usually how much does it cost to change the discbrake and the brake pad of iswara?

This is my first time own a car, so it's a lot of question here.
