Hello, can someone enlighten me what is the arrow-pointed screw used for? Previously when I saw my mechanic turning that when I told him I had knocking in my engine. However, that screw when I turn it around it seems like just loose the whole throttle assembly.

(Btw, also the others circled parts so far I learned, I only know the blue one is for controlling how much 'rev' when the engine is engaged in choke mode. Others I don't really know tongue.gif )
*
that arrow bolt is to hold the whole throttle spindle and hold back spring together... dat one is not the place to control ignition timing...
yes, blue one is to control autochoke...
circled red is to control where the throttle spindle should stop in relation to the butterfly flap inside the carburetor... most of the time u dont need to kacau that unless u modify the butterfly flap inside... coz if u loosen it, the butterfly flap will scratch against the venturi when u release the throttle...
circled white no idea... should be useless...

Looking at the distributor, clockwise to advance. Anticlockwise to retard.

Hey my stupid car the air cond got prob again le.
DU lan la..
Ma de that day pay RM700 fix the stupid engine there got leaking for oil.
Now the stupid air cond sometimes got petrol smell sometimes got smoke smell.
Got any reasoning for this?
If I off air-cond still can smell bau terbakar asap ==
*
Check is the lobang there ur aircond pipe passes through ur firewall is properly sealed or not. If not, seal it with some insulation foam. This can prevent outside air going into ur cabin.

I'm think of getting a manual transmission from either Satria 1.6XLi manual or Perdana manual.

Not sure whether is compatible with the transmission mounting and the drive shaft cross-sectional dimension is another concern.

Cannot. Mounting not same.

For me, 4:3 of final drive, it's too high. Not really making sense for long distance, as such, I would prefer lower ratio but with higher torque and preferably flat torque band. So, any transmission compatible with the car with higher kM/H per 1,000 r.p.m. at 5th?
*
if wan flat torque do tuning can d la. Stock gearbox also can get flat torque laa.

Any alternative w/o mod?

Objective is to obtain higher kM/H per 1,000 r.p.m., I'm talking bout lower ratio at 5th or final.
*
Mix match final drive n gearbox housing from 3 different gearbox. What gearbox not sure coz i never bother to ask anymore. Haha.

Easier alternative, modify mounting lo.

Torque at flywheel, it feels like narrow torque band due to the UFO air filter.

Torque at low engine speed feels  yawn.gifshakehead.gif
