GOSH DARNIT!!! I am supposed to get the full RM150 cash back for spending in December 2010 but I only noticed RM80 deposited into my Amex account. I did a thorough calculation just now and got the answer. My spending from 6-12-10 onwards DID NOT EARN any cash back. That means the total payout of RM1mil for December had finished on 6-12-10 or earlier, but MBB only announced it end-December. What the hell!

This month, I am not going to use my Amex Gold cc in the participating shopping malls again. I am gonna cut it soon after the 15% cash back promotion ends.

or use the 200 points to redeem RM1.

anyway, just got my ocbc titanium & monthly spending seldom >1k, so might keep amex gold as secondary since its free for life. only thing is the annual rm50 GST.

Definitely can. All you need to do is to request for the replacement card over the phone and tell the CS your existing one has broken into two and that you have thrown it to the dustbin 

I have been thinking if one has spent e.g. RM10K in one goal on his AMEX, can he request the customer service to convert this RM10K as an installment? Has anyone tried it?

i did ard 1.5k on my amex wif a merchant. i called up amex for any installment payment available n they said no. is it possible?

Is the 5x TP given plus 5% cashback given on all purchases?

Eg. A purchase on an item cost RM100. So does that mean 5% cashback plus 500 TP?

Just went to 1U yesterday and didnt see any Maybankard promo counter near the new wing. Anyone else detected their counter elsewhere?

Just a question, for the maybank kard 2 cards amex, is there a pool for the 5% rebate (maximum RM50 per month)?
Is the 5% rebate applicable for petrol, grocery and etc?

I know the 15% promotion period have a pool consist of 1 million per month.

Just want to know I currently using Maybank Visa Petronas Gold and applying Maybankard 2 Amex & Visa... Are the cards limit share? or each has different card limit?

From my experience, I reckon Amex and MBB have different teams of customer service staff.

spoke to a maybank2 card sales rep at a booth near the curve yesterday.

mention to him that my amex gold just got charged rm50 gst in feb, if i apply new maybank2 card will it charge another rm50? his answer is a definite yes. but he counter back by asking me to signup 2 autopay & will get 10000TP to offset the gst.

but my autopay had just all transferred to ocbc titanium.

Does Guardian, Watsons & Caring accept AMEX at their stores ?

I swiped my maybank 2 amex cars in singapore last friday and saturday. When i checked online, the transactions were not updated yet. Anyone knows how long does it take for overseas transaction to show and any additional charges?

Using AMEX Ikhwan here, register 15% cash back on Nov 2010. Until now still haven't get any cash back on this. Called the CS, they giving some funny excuses, they said every month only have 3 million cash back given out based on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis (okay, this i can accept), I tell her I have a transaction on 1st Dec 2010, 10am when the shop opens then I straight go buy a jeans at midvalley (quite rush to get 1 at that day), she replied like a recorded radio, same message "Sorry sir, every month we only have 3 mil caps for the 15% cash back which was based on first come first serve basis"

Okay, 3 mil cash back was paid finish to the maybank AMEX holder at 1st day of the month, 10am, a time that every shop baru open....

So sad and tired speaking with her.

Did not go through the T&C myself. It was still so new then with many informations weren't available and even spelling errors which is why i did not bother to read it then. Anyway, someone posted here last month (or was it in the credit card thread) that online purchases are not entitled for the weekend's 5% cash back.
