erm, is the G53SW that one a 3D version? I'm a bit blur with the naming...Decided to be less lazy and check out lumin's sales tread.
Okay
1) main difference is the fullHD (1920 x 1080 ) screen you get with the G53 instead of the G73 with the 1366 x 768 or something like that resolution. That's probably the reason for RM400 more.
2) If boths specs are listed right, Then performance wise isn't such a biggie unless u are doing photoshop or video editting.
3) Also the 500GB probably comes from the G73 instead of the G53 cause iirc G53 comes stock with 750GB harddrive.
4) The G73 does have a subwoofer... if i remember correctly, but i'm assuming you're using external speakers so that's quite null.
5) To me the difference in size is quite significant, mainly because my bag just nice fits the G53... so the G74 would be too big...
Other than those points, I would advice on the G53Sw just because of the Full HD screen. Gaming laptop without FullHD screen is kinda of a deal breaker with me. But if you want to opt for the G73 you can run games are higher settings since the native resolution will be lower and your wallet will be fatter.
And just another thing, you can't import it? Cause getting the G53 from Gentech its around RM4600-RM4700 including shipping (comgateway) and it comes with
1) same processor
2) the GTX 560m (10% increase from GTX460m)
3) 12 GB ram (WTFFFFFFF TWELVE? lol... i didn't not expect that)
4) 750GB hdd
More troublesome, but imo if you want that extra 10% performance for the same price and you're willing to wait... then its better. One problem would Dead-On-Arrival units, then ur in a world of hurt, but so far none of us experience that, another sightly less would the power cable wrong head wahahahahah but that's easily solved.
