i have no idea, but starting a whole new social network seems kinda... hm... very hard.
but if intergrate things it'll be like some of the stuff that has been going around... SgBeat? or something like that, or the new browser?

but then you need a big community for that to work, unless to share pictures you don't need your friend to sign up, just the link to the album. But that becomes something like flicker no?
because if i ask my friends to sign up for this, most of them will be like, 'what for? got facebook already' and the only issue i see with facebook is privacy... not like bad layout, or ads.

iirc the whole thing about facebook was about them selling personal info to ad companies, and stuff like if you delete a photo, the photo still remains on the facebook server? and levels to control which apps get what info

lets see, twitter, formspring, facebook. These are the biggest social platforms right? and myspace converted itself to be for musicians... bandcamp is there for people who don't want itunes, a platform for gamers? QUOTE(kailoonthedog @ May 29 2011, 04:59 PM) Anybody here own Asus G53SW-XR1??I saw in xoticpc it can choose second hard drive or none.If just wanna know if i don't bundle the laptop with second hard drive , can i later add in myself??Or if i din buy the second hard drive the slot won't be placed in?? the hdd bracket won't be included, the slot will be there, just not the bracket. But i've seen a makeshift one with cardboard pieces to let the hdd fit tightly, but that's for ssd, if have moving parts... might not be safe, knock then will damage. Added on I changed this! haha@jeffery hm, if ur working with friends, i think better you guys discuss among yourself, its your ip after all This post has been edited by DoubleU: May 29 2011, 11:17 PM

hm... can't help you on build quality cause dunno what the G74sx is like. But on design, I feel that most juvenile is the MSI one, like those people drive wira put big big spoiler, body kit.... M17x slightly less juvenile, but imo, the G74 design, especially the keyboard, nice and slick.
if ur getting 3d version, screen most likely isn't FullHD and might be glasses-less 3d screen...

i'm pretty sure that m15x g53jw and the msiGT680 series can all fit 2 hdd and 1 optical drive, the chassis is huge anyways and makes more sense since these are gaming laptops. Maybe not the M14x since that one is smaller.

the slot will be there, but no caddy. If ur using SSD not very important, but if normal hdd then got problem la. I think front page got a guy demonstrate installing ssd without caddy, using cardboard pieces to fill up the gap.

air intake design. Silent and effective. MSI one is very loud, can youtube videos to hear it.
build quality i have no idea, but asus design much better in my opinion, MSI one abit like those people with proton wira with huge spoilers.
btw the one click overclock thing, i dun really thing asus has it like MSI. So technically MSI would have slightly more power with that feature, but then the laptop will become even louder.
Sound on MSI definitely better, has it own sound card from dynaaudio, so asus can't compete in that area.
Erm, not entirely sure but check if the MSI ones have backlit keyboard, that was one feature that was a must have for me. Not sure about you.
Intl warranty? might be useful for you.

interesting, toshiba usually ends up giving lousier GPU to their qosmio range, but then again, its 17" not 15"
erm, dun regret la. Regret is the pathway to bitterness. GT683 has distinct audio advantage over G53.

LOL no... I also thought that G53 design more stealth and discreet than Alienware... but that time I was in library with my friends, the G53 looks so much more like a massive beast than then M15x. The G53 got a very fierce look from the back xD
Added on June 21, 2011, 9:13 pmbut yea, the GT683 in that sense is more juvenile. Borrow netbook? xD

@yan the G53's cooling system more than enough for it. Don't really need to bother with a cooling pad.

huh? i was told that cannot put alot of thermal paste, just enough for a very thin layer so to eliminate air bubbles but not form a layer of paste between the heatsink and the gpu surface?
Added on June 30, 2011, 1:42 amhttp://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/134
this article "However, thermal paste is not near as good of a conductor as copper. Thus, too much thermal paste will hinder a heatsink’s ability to cool properly."
