Anyways, abt asus after service, I found it quite good dealing with Asus themselves, had headache when i dealt with highpoint (highpoint was the authorize service centre for Asus in JB, besides other brands like acer etc)

And when i emailed them that i was frustrated with the service at highpoint, they called me to offer a free pickup service to send my G53jw to the KL centre. So i had a good experience la (of course not as good as dell on site la)

Added on September 3, 2011, 12:29 amand erm, my problem was a faulty wifi card, which asus ended up giving me (though highpoint) for me to put into the laptop, cause the highpoint technician didn't know how to access the wifi card in the G53jw. And i couldn't send it to KL cause was leaving the country.

anyways, @zunnurain like Mr 47 said, the games you wanna run confirm can run, although i don't see a benefit for sims 3 in 3D... Maybe consider the Non-3D version that's selling at RM3999?

yea, but since its HD not FullHD the stress isn't as much as 3D on fullHD. the GTX560m should be able to run things at Max at HD resolution.

but still tell us how sims 3 runs on 3D? I could be wrong cause someone mention starcraft 2 on 3D is good, and i don't see the benefit for 3D in that game either hahhaha.

The GTX560m 128bit is said to be 10% weaker than the 192bit version.
The GX460m 192bit is also supposed to be 10% weaker than the 192bit GTX560m.

So their performance are roughly the same, unless some of the new games benefit from the GTX560m more than the 460m.

About the 3D thing, there might be different version G53Sx-something something something, so that you need to check whether it has glasses or naked eye. and the official website state that "You wanted 3D? We gave it to you, besides NVIDIA® 3D Vision™, we also implemented in Naked-eye 3D technology. Experience games, movies, and photos in stunning 3D"

So maybe both also got?

hm, even on HD+ or FullHD i don't think the performance will be worse than the GT555m, just not as good as the GTX560m with 192bit. and probably around the level of the GTX460m

@mr_47, just try vacuuming the vents first, usually helps quite abit. You can open up vacuum too. Repaste only necessary if removing the dust doesn't reduce the heat
