Forgive and Forget, Living in the Past is Time Consuming

@branislave
then take the black. Milan seldom wears it, but it's definitely a rare piece, because it's usually only produced once (in it's lifetime).
@faizhassan
if heat transfers, schmeichel7 is correct, very hard to remove. colour bleeds are very notorious for some brands, esp Nike with the 2-coloured kits i.e. Inter, Juventus, Barcelona, etc.

The JERSEYMAN
|
Actually the shop shouldn't be blamed... it was not their fault since the red came from the boro shirt.. which wasn't theirs...
Take this as a good learning point, to yourself, myself and the rest..
Be careful when ironing multi coloured jerseys especially if it's white+<other colour>. Example: red+white, red+blue, black+white, white+green etc etc.. I have bad experiences (colour bleeding) when ironing my jerseys that are multi coloured. Celtic jerseys, stoke jerseys, newcastle jerseys, you name it..
Colour bleeding comes in 2 forms:
1. Washing: a. When you wash your white jerseys and mix it with other coloured clothings... the colour transfer to your jersey..
There is a chance to fix this if this happens because of washing... Use Vanish Power O2 to remove the stain colour... Dylons also sells a product that can solve this as well (not the Dylon Stain Remover bottle, but a box containing 2 sachets to fix colour transfers).
2. Ironing: a. When you iron press your nameset...first iron press a red jersey then on a white jersey
b. When you iron your jersey.. be careful when you iron the white areas at the sleeves, chest, back, etc.. Also when ironing the embroidered club crest.. club crests can get colour stains.. where the embroidered club crest has white coloured areas.. can turn blue-ish or red-ish..
When you iron the sleeves.... the dual coloured (example, celtic jersey) can cause colour bleeding where the white stripes have some green-ish colour bleeding.
When you iron press and apply certain namesets/patches. It happened to the Barcelona 07-08 home jersey... the yellow nameset catches the red/maroon colour bleeding... The lextra epl namesets/patches becomes pink because of the poor red colour quality of retro umbro jerseys that are red coloured (Man United, Nottingham Forest etc..)
This problem is common. And the sad fact is.. when colour bleeding occurs because of ironing............... THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO FIX IT. Trust me, I've done my research. Clorox bleach? Spirit? Thinner? Dylon? Stain Devil? Nothing will work.
When the white area of your jersey (nameset/patches, collars, sleeves, front/back layer) is stained with colour bleeding caused by iron.. It cannot be fixed.... because the heat bonds the colour to the white area.. Wonder how they make dual coloured football jerseys that are white+black, white+red, white+green? They print the opposite colour on to a white coloured material.. How? Heat printing. So when a colour bleeding occurs because of ironing... well.. it's like duplicating the process of printing the non-white colour onto a white material to make the dual coloured jerseys.. So the colour bonds through the heat and is almost impossible to be removed.
I had a problem with my Man United UCL 2 star jersey.. applied my nameset that I bought from subside.. The letters turned pinkish... damn! Nothing could remove the letters's pink stain. Had to re-order the same letters and overlapped on them..
Hate this problem. One of the scariest problems I had as a 10+ year jersey collector.. colour bleeding because of ironing.

QUOTE(schmeichel7 @ Jan 18 2011, 11:34 PM) Not sure if they turn grey... as I have a quite number of white kits (england jerseys and man united away shirts).. but the biggest problem with white jerseys are the risk of colour bleedings occurring onto them... since it's white. To me, the red and black is ac milan. That is why it is called rossionerri... yes, they won the UCL wearing white most of the time... but I believe the red and black is the genuine colour of Milan. Can't really think of other clubs wearing black and red (except for sarawak in the past.. when they were with lotto). Black and red is ac milan. my acm away 10/11 already have those black spot on em... people call em 'tahi lalat' i rarely wear my jerseys since my acm 08/09 NN rosak (thank God it didnt get peeled, just discoloration)... some of the patches are starting to peeling a bit..., sayaaaaaang
