take a look at the france authentic version: http://www.soccerbible.com/news/football-s...ntic-shirt.aspx
Just the box itself is sheer beauty.

It's good I suppose, but for that, some of the left-over wc2010 France replicas home and away can be bought now at very rock-bottom prices...
And, I've seen some of your collections on the other website GaryTan, very nicely done..

I have seen that Weston is selling a replica football shirt that I have some interest. How much does their int'l express shipping delivery cost to ship to USA, just one jersey?

thanks

Jerseyman's Review: 2011 France New Home Jersey by Nike

This was adidas's last France Home jersey, worn during the Friendly against England on the 17th November 2010 (France won 2-1):

Aur revoir adidas...

It has come to an end for adidas's partnership with France... We all have been used to the sight of seeing France's national team jersey being sponsored by adidas.. so it was a bit awkward to see them now with Nike.

The adverts and marketing done by Nike were top class.... although the initial view of the shirt looks a bit simple.. Even French National Team Manager Laurent Blanc criticized it a bit saying that "it looks too much like Italy's home jersey".. But the final product wasn't that disappointing to Jerseyman's view.

So I bought one last Friday and it arrived quite fast to my doorsteps today (via UPS). Coincidentally today's my birthday so... I assume this shirt was like a birthday gift for myself hihi...

So here's the new France 2011 Nike Home Jersey:

France 2011 Nike Home Jersey (XXL)

Ok.. the shirt that I bought here is a Replica version... not Player Issue or Authentic Issue (don't get me wrong with this terms.. this shirt is indeed a genuine original shirt made by Nike...) and there are some differences between this one and the Player Issue/Authentic Issue as shown below:

user posted image
The Player Issue/Authentic Issue version... It has heat bonded FFF crest

user posted image
The Player Issue/Authentic Issue version... On the back of the shirt, it has these horizontal stripes

The replica version jersey does not have the horizontal stripes on the back of the jersey, like the player issue shirt (as shown above). It also has an embroidered type FFF crest (which is a good thing in my view.. more robust and lasts longer for daily wear and tear):

Other features on the shirt are similar to the normal replica jersey version:

user posted image
DRI-FIT logo is embroidered on the bottom right of the jersey.. using the same colours of the jersey

Authentic

The jersey is Made in Thailand (bad news.. because the pirates in Thailand can imitate this jersey easily).. It also has an extra touch on the collars with it's 1 star logo (representing the single world cup victory in 1998).. Also in the sizing info, is printed with 'nikebetterworld.com'.. More on that later...

To be continued..

Sizing info near the collars....

Since the World Cup 2010... Nike made football jerseys all have this logo printed beneath the team crest... Called 'Inner Pride' or 'Crest of Pride'. it's part of it's marketing strategy to appeal to fans and the rest.. So for France's jersey, here's the Inner Pride:

NOS DIFFERENCES NOUS UNISSENT (Our Differences Unites Us)

Photos of the price tag:

user posted image
I'm used to seeing this FFF Logo on an adidas price tag..

user posted image
Style Code: 406301, Colour Code: 405, Serial Number: 8 84751 80653 7

user posted image
Inside the price tag.. There's this tag promoting the Nike Better World' campaign (URL: nikebetterworld.com)

So what is this Nike Better World Campaign about? Well.. it's about making the planet more greener.. where Nike's involvement in any 'Green' activities such as making football jerseys out of recycled plastic bottles.. to read more about it, just visit the website via the URL link.

Another interesting thing about this jersey is the sleeves.. You can fold it at the end of the sleeve and turn out the 'red coloured' cuffs to make the shirt more 'french'.. or else.. with only blue colours on it.. it looks more 'Italian' as what Laurent Blanc said...

user posted image
Fold out the red cuffs at the end of the sleeves..

Don't know how it works if it's a long sleeve shirt..

There is something else that intrigues me a lot.. At the end of the left sleeves.. near the cuffs.. there is this strange 'hexagon' shaped "sticker" on it:

I don't know if this is an extra trait to differentiate it from the fake ones... or it is just a manufacturing defect.... But the hexagon logo is similar with the FFF logo on the price tag.. .who knows?

Inside the jersey... the Washing Tags:

user posted image
The washing tags with the extra button.... The button looks so cheap

user posted image
The washing tag also promotes the Nike Better World campaign.. and also states that it uses 100%
Certified Organically Grown Cotton with 100% Recycled Polyester... wow...

More on that later..

The important nike white square tag beneath the washing tags...

OK.. from the washing tags.. it states that the shirt is made out of 96% Polyester and 4% Cotton.. Yes, cotton! This is similar to what Umbro used to make the retro styled jerseys for England, Ireland, Man City and the rest.. .The smell of the shirt itselfs tells jerseyman that there is some cotton in it...

Let's look at the material of the jersey itself...

user posted image
Close up view.. No more nike's 'NikeFIT material with the bricklayer patterns and pimples inside the jersey'...

user posted image
Inside look of the jersey's material... You can see the inside layer is made out of striped patterns (polyester containing cotton)

The smell of the jersey's material is interesting.. Maybe because I haven't washed my jersey yet.. But you can smell some cotton as well... The material is stretchy and comfy to wear... very soft... Compared to the previous nike jerseys that were made out of polyester totally and is very shiny...

a. What Jerseyman Likes:
user posted image It's a new product from Nike
user posted image Nike's technology and marketing strategy (the Better World campaign..)
user posted image It has collars
user posted image The red cuffs... a good idea..
user posted image The material uses cotton as well.. Something new for Nike I think

a. What Jerseyman Dislikes:
user posted image The button looks cheap

Missed out on another info about this shirt...

There is only one area where the stitching seems to be heat bonded from the inside.. the stitching near the collars and shoulders:

The dri-fit logo is also printed this time round.
I was told that the upcoming Nike authentic kits won't be coming in a display box. A shame.
