Jerseyman's Review: 2011 France New Home Jersey by NikeThis was adidas's last France Home jersey, worn during the Friendly against England on the 17th November 2010 (France won 2-1):

Aur revoir adidas...
It has come to an end for adidas's partnership with France... We all have been used to the sight of seeing France's national team jersey being sponsored by adidas.. so it was a bit awkward to see them now with Nike.
The adverts and marketing done by Nike were top class.... although the initial view of the shirt looks a bit simple.. Even French National Team Manager Laurent Blanc criticized it a bit saying that "it looks too much like Italy's home jersey".. But the final product wasn't that disappointing to Jerseyman's view.
So I bought one last Friday and it arrived quite fast to my doorsteps today (via UPS). Coincidentally today's my birthday so... I assume this shirt was like a birthday gift for myself hihi...

Arrived today...

Inside the standard Nike plastic bag..
So here's the new France 2011 Nike Home Jersey:

France 2011 Nike Home Jersey (XXL)
Ok.. the shirt that I bought here is a Replica version... not Player Issue or Authentic Issue (don't get me wrong with this terms.. this shirt is indeed a genuine original shirt made by Nike...) and there are some differences between this one and the Player Issue/Authentic Issue as shown below:

The Player Issue/Authentic Issue version... It has heat bonded FFF crest

The Player Issue/Authentic Issue version... On the back of the shirt, it has these horizontal stripes
The replica version jersey does not have the horizontal stripes on the back of the jersey, like the player issue shirt (as shown above). It also has an embroidered type FFF crest (which is a good thing in my view.. more robust and lasts longer for daily wear and tear):

Other features on the shirt are similar to the normal replica jersey version:

DRI-FIT logo is embroidered on the bottom right of the jersey.. using the same colours of the jersey

Authentic
The jersey is Made in Thailand (bad news.. because the pirates in Thailand can imitate this jersey easily).. It also has an extra touch on the collars with it's 1 star logo (representing the single world cup victory in 1998).. Also in the sizing info, is printed with 'nikebetterworld.com'.. More on that later...
To be continued..
