just wanna share my experience with this "freight charge" just got call from ups this afternoon told me have to pay extra RM85.29 urghhh... the calculation like this
my order : 62.49 pound = rm312.57
"silly charge" = Rm287.16
service tax 10% = 3.13 (base on my order)

so total RM602.86, 10% (the tax) from that = 60.29 + rm25 (UPS clearance)

really2 annoying + some more last month i make order total 50.00 pound but no need to pay any charge. When i contact this UPS person they told it up to the custom officer to release or charge the parcel ( can like that ahhh????). What to do, pay lorrrr.... MALAYSIA REALLY BOLEH!!!

In regards of this freight charges (DHL), I bought jersey from Chelsea Megastore HK, 2 jersey + postage = RM400, but it passed the custom clearance. I check on the custom declaration, and they put description as gift with value of $10. Maybe other sifus can explain why I didnt get taxed.

Under the limit, DHL wouldnt be taxed, only for UPS.

I've heard from friends that DHL parcels won't be taxed and they have a way to go around the customs even if its above RM500. Is that true?

well my case, UPS told me i will be taxed for my ManUtd kit 11/12 with shorts. but ive told them, thats not possible coz' the total + shipping was <RM400. they asked me to provide invoice which i printed directly from United Direct. then it go passed. only once ive got taxed for RM75 when ive bought the Adidas France twin pack, fine i understood since the cost was >RM500 & it's huge box

that was my 1st time being taxed despites many shirts bought online. should u guys bought from ebay (individual) ask them to under declare. i guess sometimes its depends on the custom discretions too...

Jerseyman's Review: 2010-2011 Persib Bandung Home Jersey by Joma

It's been a while since I've done a jerseyman review. Lately I've moved to a new role but still working for the same company, which also means less claims and also less $$$... this means I might have to be in semi retirement mode again and might now be doing this rarely due to financial reasons.. Don't worry, the passion is still there but you might see me less doing this and other related DIY projects as well later...

Anyway........ this one was pending for some time. Bought the shirt back in April 2011... so here we go...

I love visiting Indonesia. My ancestors are from Indonesia from both of my parents side (Javanese bloodline). I've somehow enjoyed visiting the place and also having great friends who held from Indonesia such as acman and oscar7. Anyway for some reason (although I'm Malaysian javanese and I can't speak Javanese that well like Oscar and my parents) I love Bandung. Been there many times (the most actually) and I love the people, the Sundanese culture, the pretty ladies (hehehe.. trust me) and also the food (reason number 1).. And in a way I love the football team as well, Persib Bandung.

Persib is an acronym of Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Bandung which translates loosely to The Football Club of Bandung Indonesia (Indonesians really love to use acronyms in their daily life and conversation... trust me). Persib Bandung (nicknamed Maung Bandung) normally wears Blue as their home colours and white as away. Since I've visited Bandung a lot of times (8 times if I'm not mistaken currently), I just feel plain stupid not to have the Persib Bandung jersey. And I am lucky because I got to know one of the workers at the football club (who works with the design team and liaises with the team kit manufacturers). Thanks to him, I am able to obtain the player issue home jersey.

Amongst all the players name that I wanted to chose (such as GONZALES 99, ATEP 7, HILTON 10, MATSUNAGA 18...) I finally decided to chose the captain of the team, Eka Ramdani who wears 8:

No specific reason anyway, just because that he is the captain. He is also one of the important players for the national team (timnas) of Indonesia.

So finally, during my trip to Bandung this year in April 2011, I finally managed to collect the Persib Bandung home jersey. This jersey was custom made for me, it was in super jumbo size (3XL or XXXL) and had all the correct sponsors and Indonesian Super League (ISL) patch (as worn by the players) and player issue shirt as well:

Behind the collars, are printed with this "PANGERAN BIRU" (in english means 'blue prince')

What I love about this jersey is the usage of a lot of sponsors. They are not too much and too heavy, but in a way makes the shirt unique. I know some people prefer the jersey to have less sponsors (or none), but it's in a way an identity to the club and country. Here are some close up photos of the sponsors, club crest, nameset printed/embroidered on to the jersey:

The front sponsors are HONDA.. this logo was designed by my friend

At the front of the jersey, there is this unique watermark shape of something.. looks like the keris's handle

Yes... I've reached a stage where collecting local teams are more of a challenge than top european teams. It's too common nowadays sadly... you see everywhere, Man United jerseys, Arsenal jerseys, England jerseys, France jerseys.. Even the player issue jerseys are easy to get now. Not like those old days..

The Malaysia jersey.. sad case, very hard to find now, sizing not so friendly for big guys like myself.. But still, a gem to collectors like myself. One thing that I really regretted when I started this hobby 12-13 years ago was not to start collect the local team jerseys. They are now priceless nowadays and have it's own market value.

Anyway for persib, there are sentimental values to myself and also because the jersey itself came from a very good friend who happens to work at persib. And sadly, I was wishing and hoping that Safee Sali would have joined persib. That would have made my day.

Just remember that this is just a hobby. Don't over commit yourself into it.. I used to be burdened with credit card debts no thanks to this hobby, fortunately I manage to find a way to solve it. Also, this hobby should help to find friends... not look for enemies.

Player issue easy to find but match day issue or match worn is the consistant hard gem to find/buy wink.gif if given choice, i prefer throw buck on this more rather spending megabuck for so called player issue.

Unfortunately I don't think it's authentic. Notice all the signatures to be signed in the same style and pressure. And also note Rooney's just below the collar. Might be the first one they signed pm the shirt. =p Better to just pass.

Yes, match worns are very hard (in fact the hardest) and costs a lot. I respect those who go for it all out.. but not all collectors are into it for certain reasons (financially and also because of size.. they want to wear the jerseys they collect). I'm one example, but hands down to the match worn collectors..

Shirt is legit. Not sure about the signatures.

Locally, none. Ebay, a few. But the price is quite high. Or, you can ask one of our Brazillian friend here to buy it for you.
