Oh, Titanium can get a 2% rebate, that's great, I didnt know that . I only knew they had an OCBC-Great Eastern card or something like that . Anyway, it's not feasible to me to take the card as my Great Eastern is only about 4k a year.
*
Miles was saying OCBC-GE-Titanium got 2% cashback on GE premiums; while OCBC-GE-Platinum got 3%.
These are co-brand cards yo.

But you can still use the card for other expenses. For example, you will get at least 0.75% cash back on all other expenses which is better than many other VISA and MasterCard in the market. On top of that, you will also get 1.5% rebate on tuition and medical fees.
*
# Will there be any Annual Fee charged?
There is no Annual Fee charged for the first year for new card issuance. Subsequently, to enjoy the auto Annual Fee waiver, you and your supplementary cardholder (if any) need to accumulate an annual retail spend* and/or cash advance of RM18,000 for OCBC Great Titanium card and RM24,000 for OCBC Great Eastern Platinum card.
*Retail spend excludes recurring payment/auto debit transactions, Flexi Payment Plan(FPP), Savvy Saver Plan(SSP), Balance Transfer, Cash Plus, Cash Advance, Call-for-cash, Dial-a-cash, Dial-a-cheque, Outstanding Balance, Finance Charges, Annual Fees, Late Charages, Reversals, Fraudulent Retail Transaction and other fees and charges.

I'm afraid RM18k is beyond my spending limit. sweat.gif

Does Maybankard 2 Amex supplementary cardholder earn points and cashback separately from Principal cardholder?
They don't share the RM50 limit for weekend rebate right??

ASked the CS already.
Yes, principal & supplementary cardholder share the RM50 weekend cashback limit.
And yes, weekend spending is entitled to BOTH 5X TREATSPOINTS & 5% cashback.

For principal cards, govt tax is RM50 for both AMEX and Visa/Master..

For supplementary cards, govt tax is charged separately, ie RM25 for AMEX and RM25 for Visa/Master. (according to the T&C file available at M2U)

So anyone knows, for principal cards, I must apply 2. But for supplementary cards, can I apply only 1 card?
*
I got answer from CS.
For supplementary card, it is the same way as Principal, ie. 1 GST for 2 supp cards (Amex+Visa/MC)
And no, you cannot apply only 1 supp card, it must come in two.

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jan 21 2011, 10:03 AM)
Finally, finished my article and review on Maybanard 2 Cards for my blog at http://creditcardsmalaysia.blogspot.com/

Below is the main gist of the entire article and for those not wanting to waste time reading it at my blog:

Benefits of Maybankard 2 Cards which I feel is worth repeating:

I) 2 Credit Cards for a single GST of RM50 or shall we say RM25/each.

II) Free Lifetime Annual Fees - no conditions, no need to swipe minimum times or spend a minimum amount annually.

III) Travel Insurance - this is great as can use the card to purchase tickets and get 5X rewards points and 5% cash rebate (max RM50 but still better than nothing).

IV) 5X Treats Points anywhere in the world plus monthly cap of RM50 cash back for every Saturdays and Sundays. Note that it was mentioned Principal card holder only, better check if Supp cards also enjoy the 5% cash back when you apply for it.

V) The Visa or MasterCard,you can keep in your drawer as it only gives 1X point for every Ringgit. (But if you want 0% installment plans by merchants, then this card may be of use).
Comparison between Maybank 2 American Express Card and OCBC Titanium MasterCard

MBB 2 Amex gets 5X Reward Points Everyday, Anywhere and Anytime vs. OCBC TMC Nothing, Nil, None, Zero;

MBB 2 Amex Free Lifetime Annual Fees vs. OCBC TMC need to swipe 12 times;

MBB 2 Amex GST must pay (but with 5X points only need to spend RM2K to get 10,000 Treats Points  to offset GST ) vs. OCBC TMC must pay but auto waived if spend RM10K annually;

MBB 2 Amex 5% cash back on weekends anywhere vs. OCBC TMC 5% cash back anytime but not everywhere;

MBB 2 Amex offers Travel Insurance vs. OCBC none; and last but not least

MBB 2 Amex overseas transactions are subjected to 2.5% Admin Charge but with 5X maybe this is acceptable vs. a lower overseas conversion rate with OCBC TMC (do note again that the RM50 cap which may limit the usefulness of OCBC Titanium MasterCard for overseas spending).

BOTH MBB 2 Amex and OCBC Titanium cash rebate is capped at RM50/month sad.gif
Please be warned that my entire article is kind of long with lots of other stuff unrelated to Maybankard 2  cards. So if you have the time to spare or just want some leisure reading over the weekend,  click below link to go directly to my post on Maybankard 2:

Click here to read my review of Maybankard 2 Cards.

Do you book air ticket online? If so, i'm afraid it is not entitled to 5% cashback because someone here mentioned online trxn is not Retail trxn. And it is stated by MBB that the cashback is for retail trxn only.

2. pls take note, 1 credit card can only swipe 2x at same brand petrol station per day.
if u need to pump 3 times or more within a day, go to 2 different brand petrol station ~
*
I beg to differ.
Just recently, I pumped Mobil fuel at different places thrice in a day without problem. I did that to gain 3 entries to win prizes.

The cashier also told that the system will not auto split the payment into multiples of RM30. Instead, the customers must pump RM30 separately then only entitled the entry.
Well, I might be misinformed too. Anyway, I don't want to risk losing the winning chance LOL.

For my case, i already have two VISA in my wallet and only one MasterCard. The plan is to cancel the MasterCard mid-2012. When it is canceled, i won't have any MasterCard anymore. This is the reason why i want to wait for the Maybankard 2 MasterCard.

Everybody starts to rebuild credit card combination due to MBB2. LOL.
My DA MC still has FlexiPay which will finish within 4 months. In this 4 month's time, if CIMB MC does not come out with attractive features, then byebye.
Oh ya, TreatsPoints is evergreen; CIMB pts expires in 3 years. mad.gif

OT, refer to http://www.esso-mobil-smiles.com.my/en-my/promotions.aspx

Every cumulative RM30.00 spent in single or multiple receipts entitles the Contestants to one (1) entry.
For example, a transaction of RM70.00 will entitle the Contestants to two (2) entries.

Even though one has Amex/Visa/MC, the cards can vary in benefits and features. Like me, I already have OCBC Ti MC , DA MC and SCB Visa, will cut the latter two soon after flexi pay finished.

By the way, TM is really efficient (in email at least) . I got my reply pertaining to the RM2 and RM4 rebate.  rclxms.gif
*
I see.
So, the cause is the number of service line. RM2 rebate for each service line.
My Streamyx is packaged under Celcom promotion (because the bill comes from Celcom), but I still get autopay rebate for two service lines.
RM4 rebate on bill amount RM30++ is almost 10% discount ! Bravo TM!
