Alonso, Masch and Hyypia 'left' the club, not 'sold'... we're not even thinking of offloading Torres, the club have rejected Chelsea's offer and stated that he's not for sale.. but rumors suggesting Torres want the club to negotiate with Chelsea...
*
That's besides the point. It doesnt matter if they were sold or left the club at the own will. Point is we havent replaced any of them. We havent even begun to undo the damages having sold those players. If Torres has a get out clause, this club has an obligation to comply to Torres' request. Im praying thats not the case and we can just tell him to get on with his job - which is to score goals.

Are you sure? Ajax asks to much for Suarez and they intentionally don't let him go.

Its not that they do not want to intentionally let him go..Didnt you notice Ajax never once came out and said in the press flatly that Suarez isnt for sale?

All news only points to our bid being valued low, which indicates Ajax intention to sell. and they will.

Remember Mascherano leaving the Barca this season? the same thing is happening with Suarez and Ajax

timing a bit strange...3 days before transfer window closes? ...nah....

if true, either
-he had a big fight with Kenny!
-he is serious about Liverpool strengthening squad and the lack of players coming must really bothered him.
-he is a true soul-brother of Babel

MU sell Beckham, Van Nisteroy
Arsenal sell henry

Why not we sell Torres provided the money is good? Of course we would not want to sell him, but if he have the intention to leave, so be it.

With the amount of money, we can reinforce and rebuild. Heck, if got club offer 35-45M for Gerrard, and he want to leave, we should consider to sell as well.

I wish he won't go to other club, but if he insist. so be it.
Correct me if i am wrong, if he request for transfer, the club will get some extra transfer on money from his side rite?

i agree too, many may suffer from a star leaving.
but if the player lost his heart for the club.
it will never be the same no more......

what did danny murphy do? how can u compare him to diouf? huh i dun get any relevant link between them k.

Its not about Danny Murphy being a bad player, but I'll put Danny Murphy in the likes of Peter Crouch; those who are no more Reds but trying to prove that it was a mistake in offloading them.

Provided we get proven-goal scoring player on par with Torres. Not the money. Money is worthless now.
Both of the teams you mention had deputies. Or if you want to rely on Ngog. Be my guest. laugh.gif

How many more Cisse, Bellamy and etc u wanna buy again?perhaps some of us already forgot how we rely on SG to be the our top scorer every season popin 20+ goals a season b4 we finally had torres.

P/S: Those that u mentioned are sold at what...29-30 years old?this is not football manager where u sell and buy as if buying vege in market. Can you get someone as good as torres with that money is still the big question mark. Not to mention its only days b4 the transfer window closes, which club would wanna sell their key players now having no negotiation until now?Can we afford to go thru another spell of stirker crisis having struggling so much under RH?

i'll be very surprised if torres himself force the club for this transfer especially at this kinda timing.

If he wants to go then it's almost a done deal. We just need to pray that the gaffer will use the money wisely and rebuild. It will be sad, losing a talent like him.

Those who said that even nisterooy and Henry was sold don't understand. Mu were winning things when they sold RVN. Arsenal had good times with Henry.

For many of us, torres was our companion and often only joy during the dark days....

It will be painful if he goes but if he wants to, what can the club do?

That's true, nothing the club can do, if the player really want to go.

No point holding on if player did handled transfer, life goes on, no one bigger than club.

Actually, the longer the CL is out of sight, soon or later some of the top player may want to leave.

Actually, the timing is not quite right, in the summer may be, but in middle of season?

No player is bigger than the Club

Beckham left MU but they are still Championship material.

Sincerely even if Gerrard , Reina and Torres will to leave us, we will also be able to develop a new star soon, who knoe Jonjo Shelvey will be the next Star icon_idea.gif
