We have Torres, Ngog, Babel, Cole, Jova, Kuyt in attacking department, so would prefer to spent a lot of money on a strong aggressive ball winning defensive midfielder... Poulsen or Lucas are too soft and slow to play that role. Our defenses are over exposed and forced to make a lot of mistakes.

Eh? We're buying a well known blatant cheater and we are supposed to be happy about it? Flaming heck, I'd rather see konchesky as a striker than have that fella onboard. Wouldn't sign him even if he paid us instead!!!

+1 too. Remember how much we paid for Dossena, Keane, or Morientes?  blush.gif

Morientes was considered cheap for his standard at Spain

I dont know what you're on about, honestly, calling Suarez a cheater? He put his hands to stop the ball, admitted to it and gets a red. What sort of cheating is that ? We dont go around and call every guy who puts his hands up to stop the ball a cheater do we ? laugh.gif

a good player and dont mind him here. diouf is far more worst than him. not that i'm okay with what he did but tbh henry and maradona should get the same cheater treatment...

make you wonder, how many player would respond like fowler did when seaman 'tripped' him years back? not many..

he sacrificed himself for the team, and it wasn't his fault when the opponent missed the penalty... he's a good player.

Huh ? The fact that he did use his arm to stop the ball proved he cheated in the game. Just because he got caught doing it doesnt make it any less of a cheater. Having said this, i really dont care about the incident, Suarez was punished. The thing is majority of players have cheated at some point in their career. Be it diving, faking injury, time wasting, ball hugging etc. I dont condone it but cheating is a very human behaviour.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a proven Diver, hence "Cheater" as some guys labeled it

would you sign him for the club for 20Million Pounds if RM is willing to let him go?

tuncay sanli is quite good too, no? i mean for his price.. he's also quite the ganas type if i'm not mistaken.. means he won't fall down easily, and he will fight for the ball.. would make a good partner for torres..?

The situation was a lot more different if u go back to 15 years or 20 years ago.
We Kopites and the Toffees used to sit together when ever there's a merseyside derby match played.
U can see , Blues and Reds fans sitting next to each other and enjoy the game with a lot of chit chatting or hugging.
In some merseyside family , the father might be a Kopite, however the son or daughter might be a Toffee and the grandchildren are Reds.

However, things have turned around quite a lot for the last 10 or 15 years , many thanks to the English Media for turning the heat up between us.
I know that since Shankly's era, there's hate between us , but not to this extreme smile.gif

I'm with madmoz on this one. So he admitted to it but he was happy to do it. I really feel for Gyan and his team. Would Suarez have done what he did if the match had just kicked off? Very unlikely. Opinions are still split and I imagine they will be for the foreseeable future. I don't care about other teams, I care about bringing in "Liverpool type players", in terms of attitude anyway. Did anyone greet Diouf's signing with excitement? Perhaps but I hated him from the moment I saw him flopping about during the World Cup. Maybe Suarez will redeem himself and maybe not, but until then...

Yes Gerrard cheated and worse, he openly condemned diving so there, no bias on my behalf. His actions disappointed me. When I say "Liverpool type player", I refer to Jamie Carragher, a good honest, hard working bloke who plays his heart out each time.

There is a reason they're called "the bitters".

You should pick up a copy of Carra's biography and see what he has to say about the matter, having been a boyhood Evertonian.

Time had past. Player mentality had change since then. I don't thing we had much off the player nowadays...
