QUOTE(radio_head @ Jan 29 2011, 06:17 PM) You dont seem to get it. A player of his quality, should be in the mix for every trophy every season. Anything less than that, well it's a waste. Doesnt matter if he's plying his trade with MU, RM, Barce. If he is not in a position to be challenging for leagues and cups, then it's a waste regardless of amount of goals scored. Put it to you this way, if he was in RM now, and RM are 10th in the league, not in CL, not in cup....then he is still a waste. you dont get it too. you have your point about playing for clubs that are competitive and challenging trophies. Problem is you''re in a thread where most of us believe we will be, with new owners and new gaffer. But you god-like enough to immediately wipe us away. Liverpool will be fine without Torres. But I'm pretty sure fans will treat him like Owen did to Liverpool.
I just wish Alonso will be back next season. Right now we need creative midfielders. Adam wud be good.
Just get the the 50 mil deal and we can use that cash to rebuild the team.
Welcome Suarez. YNWA

If torres wishes for a transfer, just let him go as he is not hundred percent committed to LFC. Utilize the 60 million to bolster the squad. 60 million is too much for the current Torres. The only problem is we probably can't get replacement before transfer window closes.

Im resigned to lose him now so. But its not the end of days. At the end of every storms, there is a golden sky. The last time we lost our star striker, we went on to win the CL and experienced some of the best football moments in living memory. Only this time around we wont be selling our player for measly 8mil, as we stand to make twice the amount we paid for him. Its an opportunity to rebuild the team and start a new chapter.

If u ask any united fans whether they wan $ or c. Ronaldo I sure each of them will not say $. Torres is not only a scorer but he score spectacular goal like the 1 against chelsea at anfield ... Suarez is a good player but all unsure whether he will be a big hit or big flop ...

QUOTE(-Nos- @ Jan 29 2011, 06:21 PM) so you are saying all star players must play for big clubs challenging for titles else they are wasted? No, I'm saying they are star players because they are challenging for titles. QUOTE(nando @ Jan 29 2011, 06:24 PM) you dont get it too. you have your point about playing for clubs that are competitive and challenging trophies. Problem is you''re in a thread where most of us believe we will be, with new owners and new gaffer. But you god-like enough to immediately wipe us away. LOL. You can rule out CL this season, that's for sure. So, next season you will fight for qualification. Another 2 seasons before you play in the UCL, Torres would be 29 by then. As for the league, not in Torres' lifetime.

That was merely your assumption. Back then, Blackburn weren't even favourites. How did they managed to win the league then? Sometimes things happens against the odds.

The favourite for the title during early season is now sitting at 4th as far as I m concern... That just shows you anything can happen....

I feel disappointed with Torres after he handed the transfer request. If he really want to leave it's ok to leave but couldn't you wait for the end of the season where we are right now struggling and needed him the most. And to another EPL rival? At least please think about the club for the god sake but the damaged already been done. Just go Torres and don't come back because Liverpool is much bigger than you.

QUOTE Liverpool believe that Chelsea have done an 'Ashley Cole' by speaking to the Torres camp without permission.
A senior Anfield source said: "It's clear Fernando has had his head turned and Chelsea have 'previous' for that sort of thing, don't they?
"Ashley Cole springs to mind and it looks like they've been at it again here." Then, it's not surprising now why Torres suddenly chg his mind, eh?
