A42Jv have been serving me well... That time I got it for 3k, which today u can get much better specs laptop with it...
The only downside is the 1 3.5mm port and soft speakers, but I am using USB souncard + 2.1 speakers anyways...
Wished the battery life was better though.. Light web browsing with everything low can only last me 3 hours, adding the fact that the battery has been deteriorating..

when u bought the laptop, i meant how long ready? what is the camera MP? is got any mic port ?

How's the battery performance for the latest sandy bridge lappies? I heard there's a major improvement on it.

For me laptop on mobility and battery is placed at much importance, heat generated can really make user experience uncomfortable when you place your arm under a hotplate for quite a duration

I think around 6 months already... Camera is 0.3MP, it's enough for webcam/skype I guess... Like i said, mic port is shared with the speaker port..

i am planning to buy either A42JP or A52JV (use for engineering works like matlab and games like starcraft 2, which i think they suit my need) but if i am not so rush to have a laptop (need one between march to april), should i wait until march since i think asus will have a newer batch of laptop that time?

other than that, what is the major difference between A42JP and A52JV other than their screen size?

The V470 is already a very great laptop. The keyboard is really ergonomic
I think its okay to buy if you need a laptop in a hurry.
If not then it doesn't hurt to wait for some release from different brands. At least you have more options to choose from

Proably around march.. They are almost the same with 540M being slightly better

What's ur usage first? It's a good laptop in terms of build quality if you dun do any gaming..
