Hi bro lee_what2004,

Thanks for narrowing my scope to Acer. I am also looking for that model. Can I ask about Acer AS4738G that comes with i5? Isn't it better than Acer 3820TG that comes with i3? Is heat a problem with i5 processor, that's why you recommend Acer 3820TG?

Acer 4738G don't have switchable GPU so it won't last 4 hours like you wanted and its weight more than 2KG...
Its not really a heat problem iwth i5, just that 3820TG only comes with i3..

Aiya got a list of switchable graphics laptop that is 14 inches wide screen with a decent graphic card like ATI 5XXX series and AMD 6XXX series?
Switchable graphics is really a big concern these days given with only 6 cell batteries...

Bro lee, I feel your frustration with all these repeating questions.
I Googled and found that some laptops have switchable graphics require a reboot to enter the other graphic card (which is terrible), and some just have the screen flickering after unplugging/replugging the A/C power adapter to change between graphics card.
Lenovo's video showed it's seamless, nothing happened but it switched graphics.
My question is - which state is the switchable graphics era these days?

Reboot - that the old old way..
Current system,
ATi - screen become blank/flickering when switch, but you have the power to control which GPU will be used
nVidia Optimus, seamless since it controlled by software, but you don't really have the absolute power over which GPU being used, sometimes it can messed up...

switchable graphics on ATI gpu seems almost impossible. Got my y560p and theres a bloatware Switchable graphic program. Not sure whether is the ATI driver problem or the idiots in Lenovo disable the intel integrated gpu.
I say better get the Nvidia optimus....save the hassle.

btw any advice on switching my laptop ati gpu to the intergrated will be very helpful. Chat with the customer support online also useless la. Ask me enable the the intergrated gpu at bios also cannot find the option for it. Oh yea, my device manager only can detect the ATI gpu....
