Added on January 19, 2011, 12:30 amoh btw... can i ask a noob question?

My 2nd hand galaxy s is using Eclair rom, but wat i realize is the JPA rom provided online doesnt have an APN list...
so when i restore to stock JPA, there wont b any APN available for telco

Is there anyway to backup the JPA rom after i perform an update thru Kies and put it into a file like those phone, modem, csc

The APN depends on your CSC code and you can get JPA stock rom from Hardcore blog. Anyway, for SEA, there is a new rom DXJPE.

Forgot to add. The zero percent loss is over 3 hours biggrin.gif. Will test overnight with BatteryFu by toby kurien (which I discovered just now) http://www.appbrain.com/app/batteryfu-batt...urien.batteryfu It can schedule mobile data and it has night mode so that it will automatically switch mobile data on at preset time.

Good app. No battery loss for at least 4 hours overnight! But I experienced abnormal drainage during the day. will retest with speedmod O and SO later.

Fornx here, new dupe due to new email add whistling.gif

Go search at the first post, got instructions link on how to flash biggrin.gif

Yeah, some firmwares on samfirmware.com are corrupted. Don't know if those corrupted ones are replaced with working ones or not sweat.gif

Regarding Doc's rom, ask other forumers bah laugh.gif

Hi guys...been reading with interest about the SGS GPS issue and I myself have tried out one of the fixes (the LBSTestMod fix). Didn't really work for me though. Don't wanna open up the casing and void my warranty...is there any other software approach I can take to try and fix the GPS issue? Will flashing a different modem firmware help? (I'm assuming this can be done through Odin?). I also read something about modifying the contents of the conf file or something? Any tips on how I may do this?

I gotta say though...running on DXJPE with hardcore's kernel...the SGS is simply amazing...I love everything about it! (Suprisingly GPS isn't too bad when I'm using Google Maps...though that requires a data connection). Long live SGS! Lolz
