We at bolehVPN is now offering a FREE access, at least for the next 6 months, for all LYN Android community to use our US server for surfing, streaming of audio/video and access to block sites. Consider this as bolehVPN contribution to Android users. The vpn servers we are providing is based on the built-in android vpn services and thus no longer required rooted kernel.

This service can be used by ALL android devices that has VPN configuration in the Wireless and network.

Installation guide is available at http://www.bolehvpn.net/l2tp.html

THIS IS FREE SERVICE until further notice.

We are dropping openvpn based access due to its requirement of devices need to be rooted.

No installation or download of anything is required to set this up, just follow the instructions and replace the server name to andfree.bolehvpn.net for US-IP server.

You most probably can but select the tcp server unless China also block https.

Rainbow, thought I'd post it here in case you didn't check that thread.

I have all 3.
/system/xbin/bb/:
1. AndbVPNInstall.txt
2. ifconfig
3. route

But these
/system/bin:
ifconfig --> busybox
route ---> busybox
instead of toolbox.

I've reinstalled busybox, and still get that error message.
FATAL:Linux ifconfig failed:external program exited with error status:1

Are you on darky or which mod? Some mods, not sure why like to make changes to what the other mods are doing. Probably darkys.
I have to create a new file to suit darkys style. Give me few minutes to check on this and I will update the files.

Please provide the kernel that you are using with your mod.

thanks

I am on Darky too. I tried to flash the file again, it says can't symlink /system/xbin/bb/ifconfig.

Try flashing Darkys with SO kernel. I may have to reflash with Darkys 8.1 and see what is wrong. During the testing, darkys was the most difficult or stubborn than any other roms.

@lch, which mod are you on now?

I am on Darky V8 with speedmod K12L. I just follow the instructions. So far so good. Pandora Radio working great... thumbup.gif

Does it always simulate USA IP or it will random choose by itself?

At the moment its US IP only.

For those having error as in post #6, please refer to post #1, last line and see if that resolved the issue.

Did you try the connectbot thingy?
Check which ifconfig are you using.

Btw, what is the major difference of darky 8.0 and 8.1? It was tested with darkys 8.0 and no problem with that.
I might need to get the 8.1 and run a full test again.

Read the 1st post last para under troubleshooting.

Added on January 17, 2011, 5:21 pmSorry rainbow, but I think I missed this step when I do step 1.

3. Select LYNBVPN.zip from the location that you downloaded in step (3a)

Edit: I think I'll do it all over again and report back.
