++ More than 50 hrs on Doc's ROM and still happy. No lag at all, compared to Darky's occasional lagginess. and battery still at 81% since unplugged at 9am.

err some frens whaa   can tell the position of the shop? better yet use the sunway pyramid apps    and tell the shop number

Where can you find the anim folder in Darky v9.0 ROM?

I used root explorer and 7zip but couldn't find it.

Am thinking whether to put that in Doc's XWJS3 framework-res.apk before flashing....coz I like Darky's fly-in animation. I think Doc's rom has no fly in animation, right?

As for me, I flash a modem and use speedtest app to check edge speed. For gps, I go out for a walk and test how accurate and if it can mantain gps lock. Since I don't live in Msia, my result may not be not as useful as you guys like.

For csc: I doesn't really matter. Only difference is the apps that show up in Samsung apps.
Kernel: I have been switching from SO and speedmod back and forth on different versions. I can say I have been getting consistently better battery life and smoothness with speedmod kernel
Modem: I use JPP modem with better result than JPY. Of course, you willl have to make your own test to see which one suits you the best.
Apps:
- Browser: JS3 broswer has max 4 tabs but is hardware accelerated. JP6 broswer is 8 tabs max but with no hardware acceleration
- Launcher: GTG TW is nicer than samsung's. It's good to have at least two launchers as a fallback.
- Keyboard: I love gingerbread KB and swype. There's a modified GB keyboard posted in this thread. I'll find the link and post it here. addon: Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845162 I use the wp7. the  stock green FC on me.
- Get fasterfix so that you can connect to a nearer server (asia)
- LCD density changer. IMO insanity rom did a much better job with its multidpi apps. I set it at 200dpi
Themes: I use generation-x a bluish theme

Got the same problem. Got a bit sick and tired of it thats why i tried Doc's ROM, and i became a happy man.
but before that, have you tried using SGS Tools and run the clear_thumb_db.txt script?

Yeah i think i need to confirm if anyone else get poored signal with ZSJPE before i move to the next modem.

The 200 dpi helps with anything else or is it for aesthetic look only?

bloody hell, yes it fixed. and i flashed the rom at least thrice!!!

ill just stay with this rom for a while. (darky v8) i wasted my whole yesterday on the phone. cant waste today as well. probably go try doc's later on. i hear plenty of people recommending it. (darkyv9 aint that good yet). they event revert the wifi to v8 (in darky v9.0.3) so ya. 8 for now.

Hi all sifu, I need some help here. Just now try to flash using Odin to speedmod K12r and my phone fail in update and stuck at usb connection error. After that, I able to put in downloading mode and flash to DXJG4 Firmware which have at the FAQ page. Now my phone build number at Eclair.DXJG4. I can not update to Froyo through Samsung Kies. What should I do? Want to flash to Speedmod K12q also can not since it need Froyo 2.2 and above. Please help...

as a previous Doc rom user, I can say his rom is more stable than Darky's. Darky's v8 is good, but he did too much on v9
