Not only you mang, I can't made up my mind as well.
I have 2 option in mind, either is King Cantona or CR7. The reason behind choosing King Cantona is quite obvious,he is the pioneer to the club success under SAC reign, in modern day perspective. CR7 made immediate impact since his arrival at OT, his revolutionary style of play, impact on the field and his ego truly marks himself as a great player. Seeing his performance at RM made me feel that the 80m that RM paid looks like peanuts. Georgie Best, Pallister, Scholes, Keano and Beckham adding more headache to the selection |

At the end i go for Giggs. presumably every United player give their 100% every game, then Giggs would have given the most of all players

QUOTE(rosicky_return @ Jan 12 2011, 08:46 AM) +1... Both Scholes and Giggs led a low profile life off the field which keep them away from media and trouble. Scholes i think live way too low profile even snub the media. Lol.Giggs always focus on playing.. he wont come out and condemn opp.. he is a role model...thumb up for him... since i became a fan circa 2001 i can't say much about cantona and earlier player
but for me,the greatest player under SAF tenure would be Ruud Van Nistelrooy, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer,Giggs,Beckham and Keane.i am the "english" type of fan so i kinda under-appreciated Scholes until much later if i could choose the Man Utd best formation.... ------------------VDS-------------------- G.Neville----Stam----Ferdinand-----Evra Beckham-----Keane-----Scholes----Giggs/CR7 ---------RVN10/22------Ole Gunnar/Roo------ |

QUOTE(mhyug @ Jan 11 2011, 08:53 PM) QUOTE 10:31 It seems there's a new managerial casualty almost every day at the moment. Roy Keane (Ipswich), Roy Hodgson (Liverpool), Kevin Dillon (Aldershot) and Gary Johnson (Peterborough) have all left their positions since Friday, which got me thinking about how many managers have come and gone in English football since the beginning of Sir Alex's reign. I contacted the League Managers Association, who promptly responded and told me 1023 different managers have either been dismissed, resigned or left by mutual consent since Sir Alex arrived at Old Trafford in November 1986. Incredible. (NC) managerial merry go round ever since the gaffer came to united.staggering numbers. |

You can see that Man United faced so much problem since he left the team, just like Roy Keane left the team, no one is able to replace him. Well it was a mistake that SAF did not buy VDS to replace Peter immediately if not VDS definately will be a bigger player than nowAdded on January 12, 2011, 2:43 pmNonetheless my all time fav is Ruud Van Nisterooy eventhough I began to watch ManUtd since 1998 This post has been edited by contreasjun27: Jan 12 2011, 02:43 PM |

Its quite unfortunate for us to not watch the likes of Best, Charlton, Law etc play during their days, coz i think majority of us are a bit biased to the newer players since we watched them play day in and out while the old legend only hearsay and video highlights. Maybe those old UK fans will have a different say, i dunno. One thing's for sure there's so many legends in United, its so difficult to pick 1 greatest one!

Ruud and ronaldo to get the nod, simply because i have witness the destruction they has caused to other teams overall
scholes, giggs, cantona etc is indeed all super players but i did not really watch them enough i only vote for players that is in my generation and that i have lived long enough to witness them shine in their footy career |
