At the end i go for Giggs. presumably every United player give their 100% every game, then Giggs would have given the most of all players but not on field, Giggs is also a great player off pitch and his professionalism, attitude and mentality is rivaled by very few. He is just out of form. That is always the case with Rooney. Once he gets his groove back, he will be scoring madly. That being said, it is already end of January and Wayne Rooney's scoring boots are nowhere to be seen. 

Opponents should rejoice that he still couldn't find his form. If he does, imagine what would it be? Berba, Rooney and Nani terrorizing defensive lines. Or something like that.

He has been playing well since he came back into the side after the first few games where he was struggling a bit. He was very good against Birmingham. His and Berba's role is reversed this time round. Berba is getting the goals, while Rooney is providing. And he just need that luck in front of goal to get into goalscoring mode again. Get a couple in quick successions, watch him go.

As for last night, Hernandez was up against a tiring defence so it was easier. And the way Hernandez plays is more  suited against how Blackpool set their defence up since Hernandez plays on the shoulder of defenders and they defend a high line so there's space  to exploit. Rooney was unlucky to get subbed out I thought. It could have easily been Berba or anyone else on the pitch at the time. But since Berba is the man in form in front of goal and  that he is a better partner for Hernandez, it was Rooney who was subbed out.

If you known how Rooney works, it's always like this a few seasons back. Get into form, got injured, and take months to recover his form. This time round he's quietly producing the performance by assisting lots of goals, but people judge strikers by the number of goals they score. So everybody thinks he's not in form when he's very much in form. Just need that scoring touch back. But if he's helping us win games even if he's not directly scoring them in, who cares right?
