YAY! 1st to comment,haha finally u are saying something about the official version os6,from previous thread i see u dint comment much about it so we conclude u are still researching,lol now seems like its true after i see u posting it,dl-ing now then upgrade mine.

Download from link follow on screen instruction and execute the exe files..

Upgrading Procedure for an Official OS release is as follows:

1. Download the OS and install it on your PC. (Make sure you have already removed any older OSes you have installed on your PC by going to Add / Remove Programs in Control Panel)

2. Delete the vendor.xml file (located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader)

3. Backup your 3rd party applications ( optional recommended step )

4. Connect your BlackBerry to your PC and right click on a file named Loader (located in the same place where you found the vendor.xml > C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe) and select '' Run As Administrator ''

5. Follow the prompts and make sure you select the languages and applications you wish to be installed.
The Loader will backup and restore your data by default.


Still Having Issues !!?
I would recommend using BBSAK to Upgrade, so

- Uninstall the OS(s) you already have installed on your PC
- Delete the folder (research in motion) in ( c: \program files\common files\research in motion )
- Restart your PC

The file name stated it is Asia, so Im not sure Chinese input and output are included?? Give a try man and comment...

actually something wrong with my text msg,the msg i receive all combine into 1 bubble and all the msg i sent all combine into 1 bubble. previously before i update it will sort out for me accordingly from received,sent,received,sent and so on. how to fix it

Oh shit headache..after backup my bb using DM and also backup apps using bbosk,then I can't connect tethering now.alrdy reboot bb and reopen DM still cannot connect..wht can I do??

Update to the latest Desktop Manager...

Its latest..DM6..I can tether for quite long time alrdy.suddenly can't after backup.I dnt hv internet.headache.

at first I thought too. After using it a day or two, I feel less lag already.
Though, I'm talking about my OS 6 in 9780.

Just do a couples battery pull within this 2-3 days then it will be back to normal...

Hey guys, i downloaded the exe file. Installed on my computer. Rename vendor.xml. Then run Loader.exe. After the process, my OS is not updated. Then I repeat the process. But this time stuck in middle of the process after clicking Loader.exe

The Message is " The BlackBerryDesktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator ".

I've google it. It need an alx file which provide by carrier. Went to Digi website. No such thing is there. Anyone can help?

i think u must delete the vendor.xml file
just follow dicksonbell's step from page 1 carefully shud not have any problem

Haha.. Half day you will use to it...

ya, those steps were what I did. But I might missed something in 5th step. Maybe forgot to check something.
Now the step I stuck there can add Application Loader File (*.alx, *.ali) else cannot proceed to next step.
If anyone know where to get it please send to me, I think it might has similar copy on your pc. Million thanks
