the error page is too large on the browser is still there.. left unsolved.. i guess thats the constraint of 9700... small internal memory compared to 9780.. i have been playing around with torch and 9780, didnt encounter those error..

Lol.. Without Desktop Manager you wont have Loader files, without loader files you cant update/upgrade OS...

i believe once u install the bbos installer, there will be apploader.exe in the c:program files/common files/research in motion, the same folder vendor.xml that has to be deleted (has to be deleted if u used other carrier latest os). so to update the os, desktop manager is not neccessary.. after deleted the vendor.xml, straight away click on the apploader.exe, it wil do the rest.. just my 2 cent opinion only.. no offense..

Yes...I'm going do it later..

Question, 3rd party downloaded apps such as FB, banks, maps, aviation, chatting apps..

If I run a backup, all these will be backup and restore accordingly?

previously with os5, i was able to install more than 20 apps on the bb. but now with the os6, i can only manage to install twitter, fb, rss feeder beta, and bolt browser. else is the standard apps that comes with bb itself.. now the free application memory is only 20.4mb... open 3 tab on page on the browser, then u'll be giving an option to close the tab due to insufficient memory.. my advise, dont install too much apps on the os6.. 9700 does have the handsome extra memory like the one in torch or 9780.. sad.gif
