If you just used standard OS6 on 9700 then it is okay, if you try to add on more apps then it will become slow...

Backup via BlackBerry Desktop Manager and it will be restored back upon completion of upgrade...

Unless your is Vodafone BlackBerry then you can directly update via Dsektop Manager if not then you need to manually download and install it...

just wanna checkup when u mention the 1st step add/remove the previous OS? which means remove the previouse BB Desktop manager 5.01?
