QUOTE(dicksonbell @ Jan 15 2011, 11:27 AM) You need a Windows, coz you need to use BBSAK to WIPE and restored apps, it only support Windows not Mac... sucks... meaning i'll prob hav to install win7 on my mbp. tks guys... is it stable on the 9700 ? and installing it will it like clear all my emails on my present bb ? |

QUOTE(dicksonbell @ Jan 15 2011, 11:43 AM) If you just used standard OS6 on 9700 then it is okay, if you try to add on more apps then it will become slow... normally i dun use a lot of apps in bb lah .. just standard to chk mail n chat. coz i hav ip4 as well |

QUOTE(dicksonbell @ Jan 17 2011, 11:02 AM) I dont recommend Quickpull, if you want to reset, just turn your BlackBerry full power off and pull out the battery and re-insert again. This way I feel more convinced to me... tat is my usual prac esp when it hangs. or the 3G stopped suddenly and not receiving sms/emails. after pull batt.. it'll restore everything n go back to normal |

QUOTE(DemonTweakZ @ Jan 18 2011, 08:34 AM) I read that BB batteries should always be topped up and not used till depleted. yah i think all phones also shud shutdown / power off once awhile to refresh the memory and not laden the OS. I do that for my ip4 also.EDIT: I think bb OSes suffer from memory leak hence the use of quickpull. Just to free memory. I seriously doubt if it makes the OS function better. |

QUOTE(DemonTweakZ @ Jan 18 2011, 10:35 AM) yeah been looking for that but so far nothing. it's all what ppl say about it. I get the idea about freeing memory and i know that with more memory, everything functions as it should be but it should never get better. Programming is programming. yah agree with you on that. shud be after the restart / shutdown. first startup will giv the best performance and degrade with time and more apps get loaded into mem. |
