Anyone know/apply the Asia Summer Programme? This year they have it in Japan! I roughly read the application form and the guidelines and it looks awesome~

For those who have asked me about the international student exchange programme, I think this is the closest to what we used to have 5-6 years back. Not sure about the funding though

I applied when I was an UG there. Submitted all forms, in the end they say cannot go coz no money.

I don't know what happen to the exchange program after our batch, but what I heard was bcoz they had some problems with the MQA/BEM thingy (u guys had that 1 month top up course right after LI, if I'm not mistaken), that's y they didn't seem to offer it anymore.
My friend wanted her brother to apply as well but he said he didn't get any news about it (ur batch as well).

If they know that they can't offer this exchange program, then why go ahead at the first place? Tu la masalah dengan local uni. Waste time je taw...

exquisite_markas I remembered we asked our friend ah_hooi to fetch us all the way to Pauh to get the recommendation letter from the Dean. Some more had to skip some lessons in order to get it done. After submitted all the required documents liao, pujimama they said the programme was cancelled.

When was it actually? do u guys still remember when? now that I recall, I think I promoted it in my blog yikes.

well, that's the problem between different units/schools/jabatan/centres/whatever-u-wanna-call-it. They don't communicate well first then throw everything to students, later when mess started coming only they wanna kecoh. Back then we need to handle everything by ourselves coz even program chairman also knew nothing about that, especially when it could mess up our LI jangan main2.

I do not really remember when it was...during my third year I suppose. Yup, the Dean/Deputy Dean's recommendation letter was compulsory cuz I think they don't want to send any Tom, Dik and Harry over there and tarnish the university's reputation.

If anybody here wanna go for the students exchange programme, be sure to confirm betul betul with the person in-charge baru you apply. Otherwise you will waste all your time in the application process and get nothing.

Later when I get back, I will try and dig out the relevant application forms and also the Dean's recommendation letter for you.

I think this Asia Summer Program thing is pretty well-established since Unimap is one of the co-organizers.
Last year it was held here in unimap.
The duration is shorter though, only about 1 month.

I can't seem to find the documents. Then I check back my e-mail...rupanya the forms and the recommendation letters were in hard copies.

hey i got unimap today with 3.15 cgpa from penang matric .computer engineering huhu much regret so yeah.lots of main2 before . i loveeeeee chemistry soso much and this course is in my 7th choice . i love pure sciences a lot but didnt get accepted .got A- in chemistry and bio though .
huh. how to solve this? yeah . i should ask myself why i put this course in the 1st place.

how is it like in unimap? i mean in first sem . the environment..etc2 . the schedule, competition btween stdents ,any new rules or not?

does students can stay at the uni during sem break and holidays?

Why not you start one yourself? Already 4 years since I graduated from UniMAP, dah lost touch with this uni liao.
