got myself the Z-680 yesterday.

After extensive testing, I proclaim it to be 100% kickass. In fact, sounds better than my megaworks.

im juz upgrade my soundcard recently to Prodigy 7.1 but not reali satisfy with it ...any of d sifu here can share your tweak or link to configure tis card? search nutin in google wo...im currently pair it wif my z-680...

dont know if this would work on a Platinum, but you can try installing the audigy4 drivers. i started a thread about this, 'improved sounding audigy drivers' or something like that, if its still around, Joseph Hahn prodivided links to download the softmod towards the last pages of the thread.

IMO, it makes the music sound more bright and coloured. i dont like it though, found the original driver more natural, but thats just me

cos while waiting for aj bulk for a2zs i found this card hv a really gd review of it...so i giv a try on this

You can try foobar2000 Intrigue. But it will take you a while til you get used to it.

now im usin d foobar n configure d same settin as av-710 (cos this is the only topic i can found in LYN)...sound better with this way...but just wondering is there any other configuration that more suitable for my Prodigy

Guys, How do you setup your z680 or z5500? if not mind, can you post a picture of your room and your speaker....I just want to get an idea how to set up mine one. Thanks! btw, any suggestion for the speaker cable to maximize the potential of z680?

well fairly easy, no skills required, super senang , as for cables, i think u dont really need lah, cause ta drivers are quite small and doesnt really required much juice to pump it,

hence any normal decent cables is good enough, heck even ta stock ones are enough if its length is long enough for yah

a ha .. skevelim bot the Z680 system ... the setup is easy. I mounted the fronts on the wall behind my comp table. the surround - left and right (also on the wall) of my chair (chun chun ear level when sitting down lor ... center speaker on my comp table ... . btw skevelim - u budak UPM juga kah ?

i use the pink colour speaker cable i think its sold at <>RM5.00/meter in the Taman Seri Serdang Shops .. . i am using the cable for the surround speakers so they long enought to be hide/placed at the conner lor ...
