all logitech brother here...
what happen to Z680? it was playing sound properly then suddenly no power at all.. I check the fuse already and apparently the fuse blew. So i rush down to the electircal shop and get the exact fuse ( he doesnt have slow blow so he gave me the opposite 1 )... i pasang the fuse back and blow again. What happen? 1. The power outlet is OK because as now i'm using back my old speaker Altec Lansing ACS56. 2. Couldn't be SOUND CARD PROBLEM COZ NOW playing sound no problem at all 3. Check all the connection to the SUBWOOFER and all ok no problem. Anyone got this problem? My warranty just finish... god damn it! |

QUOTE(mxploit @ Jun 26 2006, 11:47 PM) Yeap....else you'll turn up like me getting a dozen of it and still the same thing will happen. Get the slow burn ones. It should be a thin wounded wire inside the fuse instead of a straight one. thx dude... i packed it inside box and ready to go knock MCL doorstep the next thing when i wake up. haha.. hear my good news ! wish me luck |

QUOTE(Hwoarang45 @ Jul 17 2006, 07:08 PM) well depends on your budget, i'm using xi-fi music, upgraded from audigy 2 zs platinium, frankly, i feel no much different, yup, pretty darn costly upgrade. hmm.. i think must be your Z5300.. change to Z5500 and i think u can feel the difference. : poison : if u only use for movies and music i suggest u get any card within your budget with spdif out, if you into gaming ,then an creative series will do decent job fine. for spdif out on soundblaster , u have to find a fairly rare cable, with connections like this, mono 3.5mm minijack to mono coaxial. ![]() hopes this helps |

Already 2 mths and keep chasing them and they told me might get a new model set as replacement Z5500 i think. |

QUOTE(elmoboy @ Oct 29 2006, 08:59 PM) HI hi... my Z680 suddenly switch off halfway while playing.. I took out the fuse is still white color.. how do i test izzt blown... i do have a digital multimeter? i guess the circuit board got problem edi. Same as my problemI saw the fuse rating outside the subwoofer as "T2H250V 2A slow blow" and i went to get 2 type of slow blow 2A fuse... both also blown when i switch on the power... I know there is one forumer who is using 4A fuse... may i know the replacment fuse is 4A or 2A... thats alot of different man BTW, Anyone with Z5500 that faces the less bass subwoofer? I open full volume on the bass but the bass isn't strong enuf compare to my previous Z680. Anyone encounter this problem? This post has been edited by Intrigue: Oct 31 2006, 12:17 AM |

QUOTE(elmoboy @ Oct 31 2006, 11:35 AM) you also replace the fuse rself and eveytime you put in a new one it blown?? You use 2A or 4A fuse?? yes.. i ran thru all my town electrical shop for the slow blow fuse and to no avail.Yrs also spoilt but within warranty right?? free upgrade.. One adivce is to slowly warm up the speaker when new... yo would not want to blow this new z5500 again i even tried 3A and 4A fuse and all boom.. Now i get back Z5500 after waiting for 4 mths. Is it need to warm up first then will get more bass from the sub? I cannot remember how my new Z680 SUB bass sound previously when bought. |

^^ if u got the space and the wire is long enuf, u can place it anywhere.
I just send back my Z5500 to MCL, reason is i have to open the bass volume to maximum to feel the bass. Damn it sux! |
