How you guys take pic of food so geng geh? I always get not in focus one

If for action pics

1. Go for slightly higher shutter speed,
2. Bump up ISO
3. AF-C auto focusing mode, so that our D90 can keep hunting for the focus continuously for moving subject
4. If still too dark, increase flash power.

I personally feel that if you are using shutter priority, yes. You are taking control of the shutter speed, but if you're using a higher shutter speed, there's not much to compensate on the aperture
because the largest aperture for the kitlens that it can go is like f/3.5-5.6. So, try to use other variables to compensate the lighting as well such as ISO and flash output.

Since you got an external flash there, I think you should be good to go.

45cm minimal focusing distance bro. And make sure you are focusing at the right place.

Unless you got a macro lens then you can go closer.

d7000 has the best video in current nikon line up.
d700 doesn't have video.
d700 FX sensor (has wider sensor compared to DX)
d7000 DX sensor (1.5x croped) means all the vocal range of the lens will be times 1.5x and less wider e.g. 1855 will be 27-82.5

On the back of the external flash panel, there is a + and - sign to control the flash power.

i using 1855... so cant take so near one ><

50mm f/1.8 and a +4 close up filter does wonders for food photography. Small, light, cheap, works well in dark restaurants and gives very nice shallow DOF.

Take off the filter and then can use to take your date's pic as well.
