No budget for D3s. Aiya, cause last month had KLIMS then had the pageant event I was covering so decided to get the D700 since I'm dying for a FX body!

D90 -> D700 big differences. Entry to semi pro, DX to FX.

Another reason is 85mm is damn tight on D90 for indoors >_<

D90 and D3100, I would probably go for D90 to be frank tongue.gif. Cannot tahan D3100's build, and no twin dials like D90, no CLS too! Wah a few things don't have cannot tahan la~
*
True, once you hold the bigger bodies, those dials, top lcd, etc..... tongue.gif

Will you buy a brand new D90. Compared to brand new D3100?
as it's been 2 years+ in the market.
*
Why not? Depends what one is looking for. for me, D3100 is more suited for people who just want a DSLR, cheap and easy to use. For more serious into photography, you'll find the lack of controls, info display, etc.

Just my personal opinion 'lah'. Nothing wrong choosing either one, it all depends on personal preference and what one is looking for. As for price difference,it really isn't much difference, if you're considering stepping into photography/DSLR... If the small difference is a big matter, maybe one should forget about DSLR and go for semi pro point and shoot, easier to use and still deliver excellent results. Sometimes, people just want to get a DSLR, so its important to know whats the purpose and why they want it in the first place.

550D is also entry level like D3100, small basic body. D90 is different level.

What I mean is the control of it. not as the IQ.
I am sure D3100 IQ is cool. but it is lacking of control. =\
I am okay about lens limitation. brows.gif
