That's because the lens has no metering CPU perhaps.

QUOTE(Mavik @ Jan 20 2011, 11:44 AM) Depending on your budget you would like a long lens. care to eloborate on the price range? Can consider the following - 55-200mm - 70-300mm - 70-200mm f/2.8 - 300mm f/2.8 QUOTE(Everdying @ Jan 20 2011, 01:30 PM) if its mostly in the day time, for newer lenses then the 55-200mm VR or 55-300mm VR should do. how much for each of those?if you got abit more money, then 70-300mm VR as it focuses faster. btw, Nikon bodies some got motor and some not right? D3100 don't have motor a believe. what disadvantage would it be for me if i'm to buy this body later? |

I always have this problem, memory capacity vs battery life. I have 2 Nikon batteries and a 4gb memory card. Its quite frustrating that usually my memory gets full even before my 1st battery reaches da limit. So I'm planning to get a 8gb or 16gb memory card instead. Which suits my battery capacity more? Photo ratio would be 20% RAW, 30% jpeg flash and 50% jpeg w/o flash. Any memory card brands and models in specific to recommend?

^ Your battery usages depends on several factors.
1. Usage of flash 2. Lens with VR or without VR 3. How often you review your photos |
