does anyone have a cool cases ? the only one I know is Trexta Snap On series for n8. Trexta is the original nokia N8 cases. There's one more from Otterbox, but I dont know where I could look for these.

it saves power by reducing the backlight..n no vibration..so if u wan silent mode n vibration,u have to deactivate power saving .

u set ur network connect to dual mode or gsm?

If power saving,your network will be changed to GSM although you put it to Dual Mode or 3G...

phone call also no vibration a?

u can try in silent profile n try on vibration,they will prompt u to deactive power saving .so yea call come in will b silent ni only lights with power saving n silent mode..i missed few calls initially when i didn't know that

ow i turn on power saving mode....
when phone ringing...
will it vibrate?

sorry sifu, forgot to report, your mod has a problem with my n8.

after install, reboot, then enjoy the awesomeness of your mod, then left idle for 3 hours or something, then....

my menu, typing message, music player whatever have black background, the background turns white!

but the font doesnt turn white, so.... i cant see a single thing beside battery bar, signal bar, call, option button etc...

solution: predict where app manager located, then uninstall it.

Literally change N8 to become a full fledged dockable media center. Now I wish for the in built media player to get .srt support.
And please, make Symbian OS supports NTFS file system. As more HD content size much bigger than 4GB, the HD playback point on N8 become mooted, as the N8 only uses FAT32 that support max file size of <4GB

It also switch off the transition effect and switch off all non- GSM radio related connections (Bluetooth and GPS, although it still can be manually switched on)

16:9 aspect ratio sure leave something to be desired in portrait mode hmm..

Do you guys apply screen protector for your N8? I saw a video on youtube [forgot the title, looks like Malaysian made] that the N8 is "scratch"

resistant, got 1 guy using a folding knife trying to scratch the back part of N8 and the front screen, there isn't a single scratch, I'm not that daring

enough to try it on my on N8, haha

most of us got put. Well for normal usage I'd say the screen can withstand normal scratches cos its gorilla glass.. But its oways better to be safe than sorry.

Any specific brand you recommend? because like my previous N97 mini the screen brightness will decrease since it need to go through the screen protector. So I have not apply any yet

mine one dunno wat brand lo....
get it free while i buy my n8....
