Just bought this item 2 nights ago and I'm loving it...

Few questions here:
1) If I update it to Froyo will it has any problems ?
2) What is Root? If I root my device, what can I do with it?
3) Can I backup all my contacts to my computer if I'm updating my device to Froyo?

hi, i bought SG5 like a week ago, i notice that everytime i download any application, i always get disconnected from wifi, is that normal? i also have to on and off my phone cause it's like damn slow..... and than whenever i watch youtube right, it's like stuck half way, and cannot replay again, so geram, anyone can help me?

2) root for get system access, you can mod, edit, delete you system, including apps, database, and other resource file. some apps in market need your system to be rooted before you use it.
3) contact? backup using kies if safer..

this is not normal... my advice is to perform the factory reset.. before you do this, make sure you do backup backup backup..

is it okay to reset on your own? what about warranty? will void or not?

so far its worked better than kies for me. only issue is sync which has a lot of options but not as much control as i would have liked... so i havent used that function yet.
