Then on 31/12/2010 at 9:00am, u received this sms and only have received time stamp 31/12/2010 9:00am.
Do you know your friend mean see you on 31/12/2010 or 1/1/2011 ??????

Looks like Handcent also doesn't show actual sent time of messages. Hmm, since I am a paid user, I will post a suggestion to the Handcent people about this.

I deleted because no one seems to care or think this is NOT an issue for them.
So since it is issue only to me, I deleted it.

I will try to find the solution myself and not to spam this issue in this forum.  rclxub.gif
*
Actually, it's not that no one cares or doesn't think this is an issue. The thread does move quite fast and it's not always easy to follow every single posting. Now that you've mentioned it, I think it'll be very good to have this 'message sent' timestamp for every incoming message.

Am checking on Handcent forum because I use this app for SMS/MMS. Will update if I find something.

Added on December 31, 2010, 6:45 pmUpdate - yes, someone has posted a feature request on the Handcent forum. Just unsure if the devs plan to incorporate this or not - http://handcent.com/bbs2/index.php?topic=2406.0

first off, i am a hardcore's speedmod fan ... loved his work, able to enable tweaks which makes the firmware abit more faster than usual... also with integrated BLN ... some additional benefits would be better battery drain, gps, and others but not guaranteed + no proof to support so use if u have confidence in the kernel.. smile.gif
*
I am a big fan of hardcore's work too, even paypal'd him beer (hehe). Anyway, I tried Darky 7.6 with speedmod K12F - I actually found my phone to be somewhat slower than Darky 7.6 with its own Voodoo kernel. So now I am on Darky 7.7.

BTW, Happy 2011 everyone, don't drink and drive ya! icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

kmrdeva,
how's the v7.7? is there any big differences from v7? i'm quiet comfortable with v7, but if v7.7 is much better, maybe i will flash it somehow.  cool.gif
*
Well, more things are darker now, which I like. For example, even the Google Search widget is blackish now, nice. Performance-wise, I dare say 7.7 feels a little bit quicker than 7.6 so I'm guessing that you will feel the speed improvement moving from 7.0 to 7.7.

same here ... but v7.7 looks like it is filled with alot of unnecessary stuff ... darky should separate them instead of putting all together, who in msia would use Arabic words, etc?!
*
Some of the extras I don't need, I will uninstall. Those that are built into the ROM and cannot be removed, I just leave them be.

For those on Darky's 7.7, and using Star Chart Lite or Real Football 2011, can you help to check whether the sensor bug is there?
If Darky has fixed it, I will go back to Darky 7.7...
*
Star Chart Lite is a free app, right? If yes, I will install it from the market. How do I check for the sensor bug?

Hi kmrdeva,

Thanks for helping.

Star Chart Lite is a free Samsung Apps.

After you close the app, the sensor is still running in the background.

You can check with *#*#4636#*#*, and check under Battery HIstory/ Sensor usage. You will see that the sensor is still on and running....similar to the Gallery sensor bug issue.
*
OK, got it. Ran Star Chart Lite for 30 secs and exited the app (using back button, not task manager). Left the phone idle for 10 mins and checked batt history again - under sensor I saw Star Chart Lite active for 3 mins plus. Looks like this 'bug' is still there. Probably an app problem and not the sensor itself, methinks.

Yes, I can confirmed that Darkys 7.7 solved the problem (sort of). Instead of received time, it displayed sent time.
This morning when i turn on my phone, the incoming SMS show 01/01 00:15.

Yahooo!!!!!! Now I can know when my friends send sms to me (if my phone is turn off or no signal).  rclxms.gif  rclxm9.gif

Note: It works on Stock messaging/handcent/Go SMS
*
How do you see this? In Handcent, I still just see 'received time' under message details for a received SMS.

Disable notification in the stock SMS app.

Hi kmrdeva,

It displayed like previous message (ie. dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm), just that the time display is sent time. You can test it out.
Switch off your phone, use other phone to send a sms to your phone, wait for say 10 minutes.
Switch on your phone, in the incoming sms, you will notice that it's the sent timestamp.

Cheers,

Danny

OK will try when free. Thanks.

isit a better browser to u if compared to stock?
mozilla firefox android like not vry good...slow loading if compared to stock browser

I like the speed of the stock browser but its multi tab support is bad. Dolphin Lite is just as quick and the best thing is I can switch tabs using volume up and down buttons. It's still a beta but it's good already. And it supports flash plugin too.

yea i've tried it, its quite damn good but slightly slower than stock browser.
*
You're probably right there about the speed. I need good multi-tab support because I have Tweetdeck pulling Twitter and Facebook updates for me and many times I read multiple news/blog articles and with the stock browser, switching tabs is a real pain in the ass. Maxthon was ok, but sluggish and not always responsive so I ditched that and decided to try Dolphin Lite.

I can find Dolphin Browser HD, Dolphin Browser Mini and Dolphin Browser....but can't find Dolphin Lite.

Is it a paid apps? Need to emulate another provider?

Thanks
*
My bad, I call it Lite because it's lighter than the HD. The name on the market is Dolphin Browser Mini. smile.gif

I just completed a clean Darky update from 5.5 to 7.7. Quadrant is showing result poorer now (1000). Was around 12xx when running on 5.5.

Anyone having same problem?

Re-enable the voodoo lagfix via CWM recovery. Darky 6.0 onwards (if I remember correctly), disables lagfix by default.

but is it the battery will drain faster with voodoo smehow? i think, the 77 is much battery drainer than 7.0 before.
*
Dunno la, I don't experience very different drain levels with the Darky 7.x roms. I think the best battery life I've ever got was with one of the Darky 5.x roms. Anyway, I need lagfix, too used to it already, cannot live without it.
