zstan: The Minolta 400mm F4.5 G HS APO had a MFD of 3 meters.

I like your pagoda shots, much more inspired eh?
*
haha thanks!

i guess having more sweet time to slowly shoot my subject works better compared to rushing my shots.

that's why i chose landscape shooting... and thinking the uwa..

if you are really serious about landscape photography then you might have to invest in a really sturdy tripod, some ND filters and polarisers. smile.gif

you might want to use a slower shutter speed to get more 'movement' of the model's hair.

yes tq it's quite symmetrical too..
yesterday i learn about the perfect timing.. for capturing such moment..
if the sunlight too bright.. got problem with metering and tend to overexposed and underexposed..

if for normal daylight.. 3-6PM is suitable..

so after playing with lines - vertical and horizontal.. metering.. ambient light etc..
now can compose the nature beauty..

no need to bother about aperture.. shutter.. anymore..
hopefully can learn more..  thumbup.gif
*
if you have a polariser to make the sky more blue this picture would have a greater effect. thumbup.gif

*
IINM..polariser is polariser..UV is UV...no such thing as a UV polariser.. hmm.gif

anyway...can try shashinki/yamiya or the garage sales.

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Jan 9 2011, 01:09 PM)

*

now start UWA poison?? oh my.. -.-a
but i thought UWA need not to be big aperture?? (since reciprocal rule state 1/focal length is needed)
85mm f2.8, the new lens, any feedback??
*
[U]
Lol to be honest I've never followed that focal length rule before because SSS works so well!

hey is there any sony a33 user here ?
anything to complain about the camera other than battery life ?

btw is it comparable to canon eos 550d ? tongue.gif
*
Yes of course it is comparable. Better than 550d in some aspects too!

QUOTE(rehohk @ Jan 10 2011, 09:47 PM)
hye, cn tell me...i use a550..got kit lense and 55-200...which between these 2 good to make bokeh? what the best distance between me and object and background?
*
I don't know your definition of 'good bokeh' but the 55200 does a better job at singling the subject and blurring out the background.

My a55 got LOTS OF NOISE for the Electronic viewfinder...but it won't affect picture....any clarify?
*
This is one of the setbacks of the EVF unfortunately. Where it will show noise when viewing under dim conditions. sad.gif get used to it and it will be fine.

QUOTE(8tvt @ Jan 10 2011, 11:21 PM)
shutter.. how long to make the star?
*
This has nothing to do with the shutter speed. Use a small aperture f8-f22. Then can get Liao.

@ahpingko
Wa very nice sunrise leh. What time u woke up? thumbup.gif
Nice shot of the buttjob too.

ztan:on the hand. coz i think for this ceremony the couples cutting the cake hand in hand is the main point so i focused on the hand. 1st time shooting wedding. any suggestions?
*
erm...focusing on the hand is ok...but maybe you could fire the flash on the couple's face to light up their faces and maybe crop off the bottom right(the wire) off your picture.
