depends on how fast is your lens lor. if use those really fast lens(usually much bigger and heavier than tele zooms) then maybe need a monopod. at this range, people usually shoot more than 1/1000 seconds to prevent the hand shake. and of course, it ultimately depends on your skills to get sharp pictures.

After the makan makan at the floating market, our tour guide brought us to the infamous Stainless Steel Pagoda where the whole structure is made out of stainless steel!
The pagoda is located quite high up on the hills. Those with car motion sickness should pop a pill before starting the journey as the corners are pretty sharp on the way up.
Since i forgotten to bring my tripod, i only can rest my camera on the ground and try my luck. =/ And due to the vast numbers of florescent lights being installed on the pagoda, it totally screwed up the camera's white balance, rendering all the images looking greenish.
Since i don't shoot RAW, i had quite a hard time fixing the WB. =/
