QUOTE(8tvt @ Jan 24 2011, 03:23 PM) i thought all macro shot need to be so close.. longer focal length means you don't need to go soo damn near to your subjects to shoot macro.i just use macro with tele+raynox.. so donno much about true macro lens working distance.. coz the lens will go out to scare the bugs.. so 100-150mm is more suitable? for example to shoot that tiny bug on that leaf. if i have a 30mm lens, to get 1:1 i need to go as near as maybe 10-15cm close to the bug before i can get that shot. with a 100mm lens, i can work at a distance of maybe 1 meter away? in this way, i can also not scare the bug away. some bugs are really sensitive towards movement and sound. |

QUOTE(8tvt @ Jan 24 2011, 03:46 PM) i checked SP90 can do 1:1 also need 10cm WD.. where got the far away.. don't tell me 30mm/50mm need 1cm only.. but yeah, longer focal lengths usually mean more room for working around and don't need go so close to the subject. So after all the hard work climbing up and down to take pictures under the scorching sun at the temples, its time for makannnn~! This time our tour guide brought us to Songkhla for some seafood lunch. Songkhla is about 30-40 minutes drive from Hat Yai.
