So you basically got the gist of my post which is
1. inflation kills off the value of ringgit every year.
2. it's not that broadband pricings are expensive in Malaysia, it's that our income has not catch up with inflation, hence the perceived "expensive pricing of RM88 for 1mbps internet".
If you are earning RM8000 a month (equivalent to S$3300), RM88 does not look expensive. But if you are earning RM2000 a month, RM88 is expensive.
3. my mentality is also if you cannot afford something, DON'T use it. if you cannot afford RM88 internet for 1mbps - then you DON't subscribe to internet. It's that simple.
I think the pricing of internet is just about right at the moment, yes and I agree with you, we are all underpaid. The solution here is not so much to decrease the price of internet, but to increase our own income to beat inflation, so that RM88 will become like chicken feed to us. Correct or not?
1. ya3, we know about that already, every others country in the worldalso have that problem (which raise the question, why the hell other country can provide faster internet speed and we can't) but so do the internet... the more advanced and better the hardware they use, the more cheaper they distribute the bandwidth. But, let face it, we stuck at 512KBps at RM66 for how many year? 1MBp/s at RM88 how many years? Unless they don't upgrade their infrastructure, maybe I don't ask for more if they can provide at least 70% of the packages speed, I gladly happy paid RM88 for 1MBp/s every month... but 1MBp/s with crappy service + cap + etc + fup is a bit of overprice for. Why it is so hard for them provide a 1MBp/s, 2MBp/s or 4MBp/s. Come on! many develop country like us have a fast connection with good value compare to our. Year 2020 is 9 years, 14 days to come and we still stuck at 1MB/ps @ RM88? Come on! you want to stuck with 1MBp/s at RM88 forever?1. inflation kills off the value of ringgit every year.

2. That why you can't find a cheap 1Mbp/s for $8 at Singapore, cause people in the is so rich... Don't have a pity for us that have salary below than RM2000?
3. So basically, if I can't buy a house for RM100000 with my RM1800 salary, don't buy it? Or if I want to buy a motorcyles for RM3000 with my RM1800, don't buy it also? Or if my family is poor, I can't study in college and have a better life? (ha3, don't know this out of topic or not)
