AjkR06 , some days ago, I had a similar problem. I disconnected, rebooted PC / modem and re-connected with a different IP and it went back to normal. All within 5 minutes. Try that and see. Else call them I guess.

I think the cap is back, although speed test shows a better speed, but any attempt to download files directly from international website is being capped at 50kbps or lower

b@stards tmnet. Won't surprise me if they actually let speed test server through but cap when we download files.

Cap seems to be back after 2 weeks uncapped. (And nearly 200GB downloaded lol).

Usually download from Hotfile I get 400-500KBps, now 150-200KBps only.

It's getting worse, now 30KB/s on 5 connections. Wow. After the volume of bandwidth I used, I did expect to be capped, but 30KB/s is a little bit too much for a 4mbps subscription methinks.

believe me. there is no cable fault error from AAG. checkout AAG website it self. it just the problem telekom make it happen because they already start target BolehVPN and using cablle error to cover up they underground plan.

QUOTE
Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to inform its Internet services customers we have detected some faults affecting the Asia America Gateway (AAG) cable network linking Malaysia to the United States (U.S).

Hence, customers using Internet services nationwide may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing and high latency while accessing international websites hosted in the U.S. Customers using Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the U.S. may also experience some level of service degradation. Meanwhile, to alleviate the problem, the traffic is being managed effectively to ease the situation.

Restoration works are currently in progress and we will make further announcements on the progress later.

TM apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the disruption but would like to assure customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore the service to our customers as soon as possible.
