QUOTE(automan5891 @ Dec 16 2010, 12:39 PM) Wow that's new. I read it many times and that wasn't there before. What is your definition of new in this case? Meaning just added today or a few days ago? If so, that is not correct. That point in the FUP has been there for some time now, definitely there last month and also as early as late last year and maybe before that. It was not just added recently. That point was one that I had asked TM to refer to when it appeared all users were being capped a few weeks back which does not tally with that point in their own FUP.

QUOTE(wongpeter @ Dec 16 2010, 07:00 PM) - This statement has got me scratching my head. I have been following this capping thread since v1 and am actually quite puzzled as to what I have been reading. I used to think this capping was indiscriminate, across the board and I have been wondering all along how come I don't really feel this slowdown effected by the capping exercise. Come to think of it this capping may NOT be indiscriminate and across the board. Come to think of it this capping may be highly selective and TM is actually doing as they say and ie to " automatically identify the extremely heavy users and manage their bandwidth in order to protect the service of all our other customers." Just my 2cts! This point has already been brought up before. During late Nov / early Dec with the initial capping in place, it was not just heavy users who were affected. You would not have noticed it if you were not doing some sort of international downloads though. IOW, as I have said before, they did not even follow their own FUP rules. That may be changing now though.

AjkR06 , some days ago, I had a similar problem. I disconnected, rebooted PC / modem and re-connected with a different IP and it went back to normal. All within 5 minutes. Try that and see. Else call them I guess.

Anyone got any rebates for the capping fiasco period in Nov/Dec 2010? I made a rebate request and finally got a reply saying that my rebate is approved for RM2x. Have to wait till next mont's bill to see if it is actually there or not.

QUOTE(duke_hunt @ Jan 30 2011, 02:40 AM) mine since july, havent close the report yet. will do so once i got unifi installed. With a report open since July, you should ask for a rebate when you close the report. You just may get a large rebate due to report open for such a long time. No harm trying.
