You can just download the ISO, Windows 7 SP1 x64
http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58997.iso
Backup your current certificate or just use your serial key and activate it.

Unplug and plug it back also the same ?

The difference with the media kit, it doesn't have the some customization by Dell, like the Wallpaper, etc. You might want to backup those first before reformat.

No battery, then you start the notebook with adapter only and it show that that notification?

So, does the notebook noticeably slower ?
and if you plug in the battery, can it charge ?

The adapter might have problem, better ask for replacement from Dell..

You would need to check the driver one by one from the manufacturer website.
The Dell website usually is outdated one, rarely get update.

Hi All,

I'm looking at the Dell XPS15z.

what do you guys think about this laptop?

I'll be using the laptop for work. and hopefully when im at home, will dock it and use it for gaming. will the Dell XPS 15z suit such a requirement?

Hey guys, I have a little problem here.
Last week, i decided to reinstall windows 7 on my XPS 15 (L501X).
Then I went to Dell's website to download and install the drivers.

But weirdly, the "touchpad lock" button on my keyboard doesn't work.
(this one)

Whenever i try to lock my touchpad, the orange light above the touchpad lights up, but the touchpad DOES NOT lock.
Although disabling the touchpad through Windows Mobility Centre still works.

Any help? I've tried reinstalling dell's Quickset drivers again but it doesn't work sad.gif
